30 SEPT 2026: WEEK 3 DONE!

So what were some of the big NFL stories in week 3? The Ravens pulled off a last-second victory over the Cowboys in Rio de Janeiro thanks to the heroics of kicker Tyler Loop, while the Bengals lost a closely contested game against divisional rivals the Steelers. Elsewhere, the Raiders march on unbeaten with TE Brock Bowers pivotal in a 35-27 win over the Saints, and the 49ers overpowered the Cardinals thanks to the precision throwing of Brock Purdy. So did the performances on the NFL Retro Bowl '27 Championship leaderboard match the real-world?

Well, the Ravens-Cowboys matchup wasn’t as nearly as close as it was in real-life with the Ravens comfortably outscoring the Cowboys on the leaderboard, keeping their second place and knocking the Cowboys down one place to sixth. While the Bengals lost to the Steelers in real-life, on the leaderboard their fans powered them to an extremely close win over the Steelers that saw them climb a single place on the leaderboard. And they may be 3-0 in real-life, but on the leaderboard the Raiders are finding the going a little tougher, dropping three places to 28^th after being comfortably out-scored by the Saints.

At the top of the table the 49ers continue to set a blistering pace, hugely out-scoring the Cardinals to keep a tight grip on the top spot. The chasing pack isn’t close behind though, with the Chiefs and the Lions both posting impressive scores to climb places. It’s still only week 3, and you the players can change everything as we enter Week 4! Our weekly special mention for this week's highest individual score on the leaderboard goes to the Vikings fan who posted a score of 14,196! That might be the highest this season, so a round of applause and the title of week three MVP to you! Congratulations!

25 September 2026: Who doesn't like a little update for the weekend? We've got a couple for you right here:

Retro Bowl: Team strengths have been updated for the start of the 2026/2027 season, and trucking is also available from the week 2 game rather than the week 5 game in the first full career year. There's also a security update just for Android. 

Retro Bowl College: We've fixed an issue with the editor where edits to one new team could not be saved correctly. There's also a security update just for Android.

24 SEPT 2026: WEEK 2 DONE!

Well, week 2 came around quick didn't it? So how did the real-life week 2 results shape up? The Raiders surprised the Chargers with a tremendous performance to earn a 26-14 win, while the Bengals' defence dominated the Texans preventing them from scoring a single touchdown. Elsewhere, Patrick Mahomes underpinned an impressive Chiefs win over the Colts, and the Vikings defence saw them grind out a victory over the Bears. So did the performances on the NFL Retro Bowl '27 Championship leader-board match the real-world?

Well, for the most part, yes! Based on scores, the Raiders were the exception, losing to the Chargers and dropping 7 places on the leader-board. However, the Bengals fans did register a convincing win over the Texans and finished the week as one of the biggest climbers to 16th. The Chiefs also recorded a very good win over last season's leader-board winners the Colts to climb a place and move into the top 6. And the Vikings also managed to outscore the Bears, climbing a single place to 13th.

At the top of the table, the 49ers are still setting the pace with a huge total score posted by their fans, but the Ravens, Eagles, Bills, and Cowboys are all still in the chasing pack.
