28 OCT 2026: WEEK 7 DONE!

28 October 2026: In the real-world NFL, week 7 was all about the league’s undefeated teams facing difficult challenges. The 49ers, who have been blazing a trail in the early weeks of the season were defeated by a merciless Falcons team with rookie QB Michael Penix Jr. leading his team to an unexpected but hugely impressive 29-20 victory. Elsewhere, the Chiefs also suffered their first defeat of the season. The Seahawks, whose incredible defence crushed the Chiefs by holding them to a single field goal, walked away from Lumen Field with a statement 20-3 win. That left the Vikings as the only undefeated team in the NFL after their relentless defense gridlocked the Colts to win that game 16-10. So did the performances on the NFL Retro Bowl '27 Championship leaderboard match the real-world?

The short answer is no, like last week, none of the match-ups went to script! On the leaderboard the 49ers continued their dominance by convincingly outscoring the Falcons with what might be the highest weekly team score of the season so far. The Chiefs also bettered their real-life counterparts by managing to narrowly outscore the Seahawks (whose 12,729,998 score was the highest losing score of the week) and climb two places to 7th on the leaderboard. And the third of those fixtures: the Vikings and Colts match-up? That was the closest result of the week with the Colts squeezing past the Vikings by about 200,000 points.

The 49ers still sit on top of the table with the Ravens and Eagles their closest competitors. At the other end, the Chargers and Jaguars fell into the bottom two spots after scoring no points from their bye weeks. Of course, it’s still only week 7, there’s plenty of weeks still to go, and you the players can change everything as we enter Week 8! Show your support for your team & move them up the leaderboard by playing next week's game and setting the highest score you can.

Our weekly special mention for this week's highest individual score on the leaderboard goes back to a Lions fan this week. With a score of 15,961, you take the title of week seven MVP! Congratulations to you!
