NFL Retro Bowl ’27 kicks off a brand-new season of the hit NFL Retro Bowl series! Our hit pixel-art game is raising the stakes with a thrilling new Gauntlet Mode. Starting with limited resources, armchair GMs must survive a gruelling 15-game win streak with the highest score among other players. Along the way, they must choose between safe match-ups or high-risk opponents, and the rewards of real NFL stars or powerful perks. Player XP and abilities carry over after a loss, with every run fuelling a relentless climb toward an epic winner-takes-all showdown against a bitter division nemesis and weekly leader-board supremacy.

WEEK THREE!
30 September 2026: So what were some of the big NFL stories in week 3? The Ravens pulled off a last-second victory over the Cowboys in Rio de Janeiro thanks to the heroics of kicker Tyler Loop, while the Bengals lost a closely contested game against divisional rivals the Steelers. Elsewhere, the Raiders march on unbeaten with TE Brock Bowers pivotal in a 35-27 win over the Saints, and the 49ers overpowered the Cardinals thanks to the precision throwing of Brock Purdy. So did the performances on the NFL Retro Bowl '27 Championship leaderboard match the real-world?
Well, the Ravens-Cowboys matchup wasn’t nearly as close as it was in real-life with the Ravens comfortably outscoring the Cowboys on the leaderboard, keeping their second place and knocking the Cowboys down one place to sixth. While the Bengals lost to the Steelers in real-life, on the leaderboard their fans powered them to an extremely close win over the Steelers that saw them climb a single place on the leaderboard. And they may be 3-0 in real-life, but on the leaderboard the Raiders are finding the going a little tougher, dropping three places to 28th after being comfortably out-scored by the Saints.
At the top of the table, the 49ers continue to set a blistering pace, hugely out-scoring the Cardinals to keep a tight grip on the top spot. The chasing pack isn’t close behind though, with the Chiefs and the Lions both posting impressive scores to climb places. It’s still only week 3, and you the players can change everything as we enter Week 4! Show your support for your team & move them up the leaderboard by playing next week's game and setting the highest score you can.
Our weekly special mention for this week's highest individual score on the leaderboard goes to the Vikings fan who posted a score of 14,196! That might be the highest this season, so a round of applause and the title of week three MVP to you! Congratulations!

30 September 2026: Another update incoming! The update for NFL Retro Bowl '27 should be live now. We still have quite a few players to add to the game, but we think we have every player who was active at the start of the season in the game now. Enjoy!
25 September 2026: Who doesn't like a little update for the weekend? We've got a couple for you right here:
Retro Bowl: Team strengths have been updated for the start of the 2026/2027 season, and trucking is also available from the week 2 game rather than the week 5 game in the first full career year. There's also a security update just for Android.
Retro Bowl College: We've fixed an issue with the editor where edits to one new team could not be saved correctly. There's also a security update just for Android.

10 September 2026: As the NFL ’26-‘27 season kicks off, it’s also the start of our NFL Retro Bowl ’27 Championship leader-board! In case you didn’t take part last season, it’s pretty simple... Each week you get the chance to play your favourite NFL team’s real-life weekly game. You can try as many times as you like to set the highest score you can. Your score goes on your team’s leader-board along with those of all the other players who support your team. At the end of each game week, those scores, and the scores of all the other team leader-boards are totalled and posted on our NFL Retro Bowl ‘27 Championship leader-board. The competition runs for the whole of the regular season, and whichever team’s fans have posted the highest score by the time the final week rolls around are declared the winners.
Last season it was a close-fought contest at the top of the table, but the Colts finally won out to finish just ahead of the Eagles. Who will win this season? It’s completely up to you!
