We’re New Star Games, a small but experienced development team with a track record of high-quality titles across many platforms over many years. We’ve had a string of successes on mobile and Switch with the New Star and Retro games, and the sensational Retro Bowl being the #1 app on the US App Store.
Our team boasts the super-talented Simon Read, the man behind the original New Star Soccer, and a collection of industry veterans who’ve worked at major studios on titles such as the Worms series (Team17), Lemmings (Team17), Call of Duty: Strike Team (Activision), Red Dead Redemption (Rockstar), and the Grand Theft Auto series (Rockstar).
We mostly develop retro sports-RPG games in which fun, simplicity, and surprising depth is the focus.

12 November 2025: The story at the top of the NFL Retro Bowl '26 Championship leaderboard this week is all about the Colts. Taking the top spot from the Eagles last week, this week the Colts fans posted an enormous score to put some clear water between themselves and the 49ers in second place. Congratulations to those players who posted a score for the Colts this week... that is a great effort! With the chasing pack mostly static this week, the other big climbers were in mid-table. The Seahawks, Bears, Buccaneers, Steelers, and Texans all posted strong scores to climb several places, so well done to fans of those teams. Of course, there's still plenty of time to go, and you the players can change everything in the weeks ahead, so show your support for your team & move them up the leaderboard.
This week's highest individual score of 12,440 was posted on the Rams leaderboard this week (which is becoming a pretty common occurence over the last few weeks), so congratulations to you... You are the week 10 MVP!

12 November 2025: Well how about this? A few shots of the real-life NFL Retro Bowl '26 advertising inside the Philadelphia Eagles' Lincoln Financial Field! If you're a visitor you'll be able to see adverts for the game every time the Eagles play at home. Not gonna lie, we're super excited about this!

28 October 2025: The new 1.1.6 update for NFL Retro Bowl '26 is live now on Apple Arcade. The new release includes new art for international fields, player development mode, and prestige badges for team leaderboards.
