15 October 2026: In the real-world NFL, week 5 turned out to be a week of wild finishes and chaotic drama. At London’s Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, the Jaguars defeated the Eagles with some late-game heroics, scoring two field goals in the dying seconds; while back at the Northwest Stadium, the Commanders and Giants battled to a crazy 27-27 tie as the Commanders realised too late that they were out of timeouts. To finish the week off, the Bills and the Rams both made calamitous mistakes in overtime, with a fumble and blocked kick seeing a dramatic game swing first one way, then another in what ended a narrow win for the Bills. So did the performances on the NFL Retro Bowl '27 Championship leaderboard match the real-world?

Well, the first matchup didn’t go to script: on the leaderboard the Eagles posted a huge score of 15,387,670, nearly twice as big as the Jaguars’ score. The good news for the Jaguars is that they move up a place and off the bottom of the table. The bad news is that’s mostly thanks to the Panthers not posting a score due to their bye week. The Commanders fared better than their real-life counterparts by defeating the Giants and moving up to 15th, but it was a very, very close thing with fans of both teams posting very competitive scores. But it’s the last of the fixtures that matches the real-world NFL results, with the Bills handing a defeat to the Rams to keep the pressure on the chasing pack at the top of the table. 

At the summit, the 49ers continue to occupy the top spot, but for the second week in a row they were outscored by the Ravens who continue to close the gap. It’s the Ravens who posted the top score of the week again with a mightily impressive 15,505,776. Of course, it’s still only week 5, and you the players can change everything as we enter Week 6!
