Demo crashes to desktop on startup

After I choose the resolution (Joypad detected apears -- xbox 360 controller).. I then see the main menu for a second and the game crashes.

Any known conflicts?

I really wanted to try out the Demo after seeing the review on RPS.

Yes, just got the latest from the Nvidia site (190.38, July 21, 2009) for GTX 280. Still crashing.. I get the crash report on the screen (Send/Don't Send), so it's not just a silent exit.

Are you using Vista?
You could try running it as an administrator or disabling your Anti-virus temporarily.

Running XP actually.. started working as soon as I got the latest .NET update.

Interesting... Not sure what that fixes, but it's good to know.
