You just have to change the letter that have the accent to non accent and probably the issue is fixed.
Say something here if you find a solution so the others with the same problem can know about it.

I mean, not changing the user folder name but the user name itself on: Settings / Control panel / User Accounts / Change Account
I had the same problem to play GTA San Andreas and after that it worked. Actually i had to create an account with the name GTA to work.

I tried the game some months ago at my friends house. The version was 1.15 I think. He had a bug that when running out of fuel the game would somehow place the last driver (or something like that) to finish first in the race.

I think that is a quite large bug which could really affect the gaming experience. Has this been fixed since I did'nt find it in the update lists?

Well i think that bug is fixed already, but you still have some bugs on the latest version 1.25 but nothing really important. But it´s much better then the old version. Check it out!!
But what you should do is to show up for the Official Championship, it makes much more fun! Check the forum for more details or just show up every Saturdays at 9:30 AM (Uk time). The race starts at 10AM!
You can use the demo to play online, but it has to be the 1.25!!

So, we see you Saturday?? Hope so, and if possible bring friends, they are more then welcome!
The Championship has just started last Saturday with Bahrain. Next weekend is Australia and Malaysia.

Another suggestion somewhat related to that: Check if the track used by the host is different from yours, and if yes, get the track from the host and use it... you know like maps in HL2DM.

You download a map to the cache folder and there it stays till its removed.

next time you connect you have faster connection times due to that you have the track.

to calculate driver strength.
The default/average rating of a driver is 1000 points.
The K-value for each race is 30 * sqrt(number_of_drivers - 1).
A difference of 100 points between two drivers means that driver A will be better than driver B twice as often. So if driver A has a rating of 1200 and driver B has a rating of 1100, it is fair to say that driver A is two times better than driver B.

Hmmm....im starting to think that this post is spam!
Well the driver is not 2 times better but....the probability that he gets better results compared with the other is 2 times bigger! ;P

Guys!!! I´m completely tired of not having sound in my car (on NSGP offcourse). The so called sound bug. I have the idea that before it only happened some times but now it always happens to me! I always run without sound. Is there already anyway to fix this issue? Its going on my nerves.

Please let me know any suggestions.

I also had a couple of times the following issue that can probably be related: I go to following path on my pc C:\Program Files\New Star GP\Skin\Sounds and when i enter that folder, the explorer crashes. Any idea? What is funny is that i tried just now and it didnt crashed! But still no sound!

Aloha!My friend downloaded DEMO 1.27, and I try to host to play with him, to show him a game, and maybe if he like game, invite him here.. But, he can't see my host! He open ports in his router but still no good! I thought he may have some firewall or AV problems, but after turning them off, still he can't see my host.. I know that my host was Ok, because in that time some radnom guy name CARL enter my host, so host wasn't problem!
Further more, he even can't create host!! He get error: " could not set up host " , and that's funny because either you opened ports or didn't you sholud make host!

Any ideas?

Have you tried to check the integrity of all files that come with 1.27 version?
Since the new update I've found some corrupted files... maybe there is something wrong with sound files also, don't know...
I have my mod sounds, so I haven't noticed the sound bug. Try to replace sound file from 1.26 version.

Some guy form our CRONSGP team, can't join us on server tu play online! Some times ago, he even play here for one-two season, and he didn't have any problems that.. With version 1.27 he never can join us to play online.. He stuck at "Race setup", and he tell us that game froze for him.. He open port in router, download new 1.34 version, but still same problem.. He play lots of online games (COD series, PES, GTR2, etc.) so he don't understand what's the problem..
His comp is Athlon 64 x2 Dual Core 3600+, 5 GB DDR2, Ati HD4680, Win 7 Pro 64 bit, BitDeffender AV&Firewall..
Any ideas..?

I dont have a clue in what could possibly be. We know that the game has some network problems. For example, Larsson and Chang cant enter at the same time when i host a game due to probably they are using the same IP, but the funny thing is that there is no problem in joining any other server.
Also with me hosting sometimes a player can enter with no problems but then for some unknown reason it cant anymore. Even restarting seems not to help. Next day probably is ok.
The game behaves strange sometimes but we cant seem to find the reason of it. It would have to be Simon having a look into it.
So im sorry Cyrex but i dont have a clue what can possibly be. Did he opened the ports right? Its not only one is 2! If no answer comes soon just write to SI or make him write to him and explain the problem.

Well, this post is already a bit old but...i only saw it now.

did that happened on the most recent version? 1.34? If it was in a older version just try the new one if the problems still persists and then report it....

Intel G41 Chipset 256MB
Pentium Dual Core E5700 3.0GHz
4GB RAM

Kane12, you did not specify your GPU. The integrated GPU in G41 chipset is Intel GMA X4500. The drivers for Intel GPU are crappy, it is possible that the textures are wrong because of this.
