Renewing contract

i started the game and signed initially a youth contract with arsinal, after a month or so i was offered a proper 3 year contract, i went out on loan to a conference club for 6 months, i have also built up all my stats and take part in training, i am now a regular starter for arsinal and score on average a goal every other game, my contract with arsinal expired 6 computer months ago, but i cant find anywhere to renegotiate it and the club have never tried to renegiotiate, is this a bug?? also the only transfers i get offered are from div1 and below clubs is there a reason why no higher clubs come in for me?
