it says it in the title, I'm intrested to know how the programers(of all new star soccer games) make the game and what program(s) they use, as I want to make a game based on that format.

There is only one NSS programmer, and that's Simon Read (siread). Unfortunately it's not as easy as "what programs do you use" as you often need to a basic understanding of coding in the first place. I've just moved a few more threads into this forum, so have a read of those too.
I'm no expert (far from it) but I think things like Visual Basic, Blitz and C++ would be useful. I'm sure those with more knowledge can help if you have any questions that aren't answered already elsewhere![]()

I personally recommend Visual Basic .NET

C++, Visual Basic, BlitzMax are all good development tools. But a word of warning - don't think it is going to be easy for a minute to get to where you want to be! Be patient and have fun while you're programming or else you'll get too frustrated to continue, as has happened with me numerous times. (Not with NSH, I'm just busy right now.)
David, to be honest with you it will probably take you months to learn how to program well enough to be able to make even a text based game like NSS1. Its not simple but its not overly difficult neither.
After you learn the basics the best and most fun way to learn is just to play around making simple programs and till you get the hang of things.
What about NSS with network playing? I could make one with DM!
I think Si would probably want to crack the online/network market himself one day. Least I'd hope so. Of course, if someone were to produce a high quality product he could lend the NSG brand to... you never know.

I dont want to be mean but maybe you should learn to program first before you worry about naming a program you will probably never end up making. There is no program which is going to make an online game for you. You have to program it and online games is much more difficult then offline.
DS you're wrong now... There is atleast 1 program that makes you network playability when you start coding and that is DM = Dream Maker! I dont know how good that game would be with DM cause it isn't best coding program![]()
I think what he was getting at is that there is no easy way to program a decent quality online/network game, even with a program which is supposed designed to help you do so (even you admit it's not the best coding program), especially for someone who is new to programming like David.

Never even heard of this Dream Maker and seems like a good idea but I doubt it is any good, however I have never tried it so I guess I cant really comment. But if it was good then I guess it would be more used and more well known.
DM is good but you cant make 3d games with it. Making football games would also be difficult with it!
I just been looking for Dream Maker and I found out that its part of a software package called byond, should I join Byond?
