    Default SS on Linux

So Linux installed SS (via Wine), then chewed it up and spat it back out nearly whole. On running the game i received an LP5 error, which has something to do with AOL Spyware protection thanks to Google, although of course I'm using Ubuntu and have nothing close to AOL installed on that partition of my computer.

I'm going to see if I can't get WC2002/6 or ECM2004 running though, those should be straightforward.

Have you tried it on any other windows adapters/emulators?

One problem might be that the exe is wrapped with Armadillo for protection. I could give you an unwrapped version to try if you want statto.

Ain't there anything linux-friendly you can secure it with Si? at least you could get it to work using Wine or similar stuff.
Not a perfect compatibility, but still would be the first Linux-Playable stuff (until NSS4 comes out)

To be honest, I wouldn't be against making SS totally free. It sells very little. Hmm...

Oh... and me thinking I was finally going to find a replacement for FIFA08 (not PES because it is irreplaceable, for now!)

Just tried this on Ubuntu using Wine 0.9.47. It didn't work at all using Wine 0.9.33, but it worked on the new one. Unfortunately, the screens with a lot of buttons moved quite slowly, and I could not get the match to work it all - it froze after reaching 100%. But it did work, somewhat.

There is still the same problem with the wrapped version though. I posted it on the Wine Apps website, perhaps someone will recommend something. I got NSS3 working absolutely perfectly until the trials.
