I can't say I'm particularly keen on the shooting system auto-aiming any shots that are taken "outside the posts", so to speak.

I used to score bucketloads by striking the ball and curling it just inside the post. As it is now, there's no visible way of hitting a nice, hard, quick low shot. None that I can see, anyhow.

In fact, one game later and I'm sad to say I'm not fond of it. I've just discovered that I can lure the goalkeeper out and tap shoot, and the shot will auto centre into the middle of the goal. Instant scoring. For me, that lacks some of the satisfaction the game had (I was last playing with 3.14 Beta 5), where although I could easily score 20 goals a game against average opposition, I had to work for it by firing my shots in right. Every goal was satisfying, and I thought nothing of belting 250 a season just because I could. It was fun!

I think the best system was there - if I wanted an auto shot I could nudge the ball in front of me with a tap of the bass button, and then hold shoot for a first time auto shot. That meant I'd need to time my nudge, again using skill.

I can't say however how this would affect Sensational Soccer...

I just bought the full version and I am not sure which version I downloaded. Now I see there are updated versions. I wonder (i) can I see which version I am using and how and (ii) if I download the update and install it, will it affect my current saved game; do I have to start over or is it not going to present a problem?

To check if you have the most recent version go to 'Help' - 'About' or something like that.

If you download and install a new version it won't/shouldn't affect your save game.

If you just bought the game, it is most likely 3.16. However, you can make sure by going to the 'Help' menu and clicking 'About', as Nando said.

help man. i played a later version(earlier version) of the game early this year, which had the singaporean S-League.

stopped playing it after about a month of addiction.

so now i downloaded the trial again, and there's no singapore league!
this version doesnt carry it!

anyone can provide me a solution?

either way, the data file isnt available at that site either.

You'll also need to add the line 'Singapore' to your Leagues.dat file, and increase the number of leagues by 1 in the same file. I find this is best edited using Metapad.

Alternatively, just create the league in the inbuilt editor, so the file is created for you, exit the editor and then unzip this one over it.
