I think it might be okay in 800x600 - does all the other crashing people play the other resolution? It might be a problem in that particular resolution.

I managed a league match today, but in my second one I made no changes to anything and it simply went black again when the bar reached 100% against Middlesbrough.

Ok, i've fixed everything so far, except the crashing. I've tried training dribbling with Rooney but it works. I've tried switching players and that's ok. Can someone tell me how to cause a crash to happen everytime? Does it always crash when switching the same two players? If so, which players? Thanks.

Si, It happens for me quite regularly. Try pressing lob button fast at the end of a match or clicking twice with the mouse fast on the menus. Last time it just crashed as the game started and gave this error :-

It's the change player button skipping menu's, but now I try to replicate the crash... I can't.

Oh by the way, I play in 800x600 all the time so it's not a resolution issue.

Ok, can everyone experiencing problems please install this version:

When your game crashes please check this file:
C:\Program Files\Sensational Soccer\Data\ErrorLog.txt

And let me know what happened when the game crashed and what it says in the error log.

Si, I installed that version but...

Try this - take a goal kick & angle it to the side and tap kick. Then go and pick the ball up. After the free kick awards I get a bad crash. Checked the error log, but it just says:-

Starting game loop...

Don't know if this helps for the other bug, but it's a similar crash.

You mean the free kick that is awarded to the rival team because of you touching the ball before anyone else?? just to help things get clear to Si

Yes, I posted previously that the kick couldn't be taken. In the release version & the test version it crashes. One time I had to pull the plug on the PC, Ctrl Alt Del wouldn't even save the crash or the power button.

Alright that's what I thought mate
BTW, some PC's can be turned off by keeping pressed the power button for about 5 secs, those react by cutting the power, so you don't have to mess with plugs. Tough is a kinda rough switch off, probably the same that pulling pull off

Yeah, careful with the plug thing, that's rough and once left me without a PC for a few weeks while someone replaced the power unit in the back that went 'pppppftbang'

And always make sure you leave a minimum of 20 secs after turning off your Pc to turn it on again, quick off/on is a big reason for a lot burned power units

Well, i've managed to get some crashes to occur on my PC. It only happened with the secure version which suggests that the security software doesn't like it retrieving resources from the Data.Pak file. I've reduced the security measures and so far i've not had any problems. Please install this version over the old one and let me know how it goes.

It's a bit more stable, but I still crashed it

If you take a goal kick & tap shoot & run to the ball (don't press anything) keeper picks up the ball *check Laws - I think this should be a free kick*. No free kick is given. If it doesn't clear the area it should be retaken.

If you do the same but try & kick the ball, a free kick is given. Before the free kick is taken, it crashes - not as heavily as before but still quits programme. Not sure about direct/indirect free kick as above.

I think I have a hidden talent as a beta tester , or maybe I'm just rubbish at footy games!
