Which sport would you like for the next NewStar game?

I think rugby would be great. You could choose to be one position;

Scrum half, Fly half, inside centre, outside centre, winger, flanker, 2nd row, number 8, full back. Though being hooker or tighthead/loose head prop would be pretty dull.

Stats could be like NSS3, except adding Drop Kicks, Long Kicks, Speed of Kicks, Pass Length, etc.

The team should definately look into it.

New Star Curling??? All the thrills of brushing the ice like a maniac. you could by brush upgrades, new skates and also get big name sponsors like Home bargains and Cool trader. Also you could have personality clashes and bust up's in the dressing room when you are caught in the locker with another players broom!!!!!

In my humble opinion something like tennis or racing would be a little bit of a waste of the New Star Style as the thing I love most about NSS is the fact your one member of a team whereas normally your forced to play with the whole team in other games. Tennis and racing are already only individuals and many games exist like this. I agree Ice hockey would be cool and American football would really work! Superstart mode in Madden is really cool despite the terrible bugs in the game

What would be profitable would be hockey or rugby7 as there are no play-with-one-man-game, as ther is in racing.

I suppose it depends on your market really? In the US or Canada its gonna be hockey but in Western Europe with the exception of Scandanavian countries id say Rugby. I am a massive sports games junkie and I dont think a half decent rugby game has been released since Jonah Lomu rugby on the playstation 1 ..... what a game

So you could argue that rugby fans or just sports games fans are starved for a good rugby game! Whereas hockey already has NHL or other franchise games in the market every year. What do you think?

JJU, joke all you want about American football. It is not in my favourites sports list (it is iin the other I don't like that much list)... Just saying that every sport is viewed in a different way to everyone else.

New Star Olimpics!

i remember there was a sort of competition were some sport stars were challenging each other in all different disciplines ...
it was sponsored by Converse All Star and usually it was in the X-MAs period inside a sporthall
there could be
running
swimming
athletics
boxing
volley
basket
football or indoor hockey
cycling
diving
etc
maybe divided in nations or clubs from big sponsors
i made it several years ago as a board game with a dice roll to create some random in addition of the different skills
the teams were made for example of 12 (in NSO you could be just one of those) and an athlete couldn't compete in more than 5 disciplines or something like that ....
the seasons could be something like a world tour with different stages and a final one to determine the winner.
during the seasons You can train and improve in all the disciplines to be picked by the coach
