    Default Car performance

I found it very strange today that while it was raining Kos and I were easily able to race at the front of the field, but as soon as the rain stopped and everybody switched to dry tyres, our cars were suddenly much slower than the rest and were soon overtaken and left behind.

    Theories?

Did you take KERS? When it rains KERS is seriously detrimental to car speed so anyone who had KERS would have been left in your wake. Once the rain stopped they would have had an advantage again, KERS is probably worth around 2s a lap on some tracks. I just tried to chance no KERS on Japan because of a minor chance of rain and have been left behind to the point I parked the car. Was soon to be lapped and there was no sight of rain

Usually KERS in the dry is quicker - however i had no KERS in that race and finished 3rd. Although i did feel slow so not sure?

Yeah, i think its due to 2 things....

One is the lack of pace from the lotus cars!! And now the serious one is, KERS! Im almost sure it was that.
As i said on my review, i had to think if i would take KERS or not cause it was rain but the arrow was on the direction of good weather so i took a chance. On rain who didnt had KERS was faster but when track drys is the opposite. Even though, to be honest i didnt noticed a big difference. I wasnt gaining so much as i though i would. At least on india!

I think with the last update, where Soft tires were implemented, its not so clear that KERS is better on dry and vice versa. It depends everything from which track we are playing. Its cool in some way cause you really never know whats going to happen, unless you practice 4 hours in a row like the Force India clan or so...
