It is almost impossible to keep a positive passing rating!!! (+ a minor bug report)

Fix this please! I just had a game with 12 completed passes and only one failed. I got -3 to short passing, what the hell?

You never know where the pass will go, and yet you're so harshly penalized for any mistake. It's exactly the opposite with shooting. You can miss 20 times but score a goal or two, and still get a bonus.

Btw, minor bug report. I could change the match lenght to 7 minutes despite using a free version. It was during the first match after creating a new player. But after the second match the game crashed (exception error). Now it's back to normal.

Um, yes you can control where the pass goes. Using a D-pad (and/or) keyboard you can control flight of pass much like shooting. You can either tap the pass button for a full strength pass (i think it is) or you can hold the pass button for a little white to charge up the bar. Passing is easy when you know how.
