    Default Rain mode needs improvement

    Hi all!

Is it possible to disable rain in NSGP, or to change the settings somehow? I think that the game is otherwise great, but the rain mode almost ruins it.

The problem is that rain seems to reduce the top speed of the cars dramatically, while it does not effect the acceleration and handling at all. I think that this should be the other way around! Now the situation is that when it starts raining, it is possible to drive through the track without braking or even releasing the gas, and whoever has the car with the best top speed ends up winning the race.

I would not expect any more updates in NSGP, sadly. You are right about the rain, it slows the car down, which makes it easier to steer (at least if you change tyres to wets). If you find the offline mode too frustrating, you might consider joining the online championship. All cars are equal in online mode .

Yeah, as Przemator said.... just join us on the online Championship every Saturdays. Just read the official thread about it if you are interested.

NSGP would need some adjustments on terms of offline play, and that one you mention about rain is one of them. But as Prz said, sadly dont expect an update soon.
    So, see you Saturday??

True man. However, it wasn't always like this...a few versions ago, the rain mode actually worked pretty well - slight decrease in top speed but the car kept sliding around like crazy. Does anyone remember what was the last version with such a model?

PS. if you edit the database file, you can set the chance of rain to 0 for all tracks, if all else fails.

I think it was 1.24 or even 1.25. Yeah i think with the implement of different set of tires and its consequnetly different speeds, the rain mode got a bit unrealistic. It would need some adjustments that i think Simon will not be in the mood to make them at the moment. So, we have to wait or.....turn rain off. Or even better, join the online championship to race against real persons that makes much more fun then offline. And if the rain comes, it affects all the drivers, so no problem there.

Check the official thread of championship season 10 for more info how to enter.
