Crashes after purchasing Career mode (iOS 5.1)
I have an Iphone 4 running iOS 5.1 - I downloaded the game just the other day so the version is 1.11. I love the game from what i played of the demo (which worked great - 0 issues).
I just purchased career mode and the moment i did the game proceeded to reboot (normal i assume) then it gets to about half way loading (past the please wait bit) and crashes on either the Star logo rotating or the main menu (almost immediately after hitting the main menu)
Things i have tried:
- Rebooting the device
- Reinstalling the app/game (deleting all settings and saves)
- Rebooting then reinstalling the game
- Closing the app down using the multi-task menu
Once i reinstall it works for about 3 - 5 seconds then crashes again as it connects to apple to receive in-app purchases. Then the app proceeds to repeat the above crashing (star rotating and main menu crash).
Is there anything i can do? or do i have to wait for an update for this to be fixed.
Would updating to 5.1.1 fix this issue?

This is an issue that has affected a handful of people on various devices and on various versions of iOS, so I'm struggling to find an answer. I reported it to Apple and they suggested that each user report the problem to them directly...
I'm not sure if they are responding or fixing it though! (Do let me know what they say.)
Definitely try updating iOS in the meantime. Also try connecting via WiFi and 3G.
I will continue to try to determine what's going on, but 99% of people are fine so I don't know what I can do without Apple's help.

Crashing after purchasing Career Mode (iOS 5.1 - 5.1.1)
Just bought the career mode after trying the demo out. The moment after purchasing the career mode it crashed back to the app selection screen. I thought ok this is just rebooting the app. I loaded the application back up after closing it entirely (multi-task menu). Now all the app does is get past the please wait screen then crashes on either the star spinning or the second the main menu loads.
What im running:
- iPhone 4
- Tried it originally on iOS 5.1 then upgraded to 5.1.1 to see if any changes occured (did a full wipe of the phone)
What i've tried:
- Firstly rebooting the app and closing it down using the task manager
- Reinstall the app multiple times and deleting all data within the app
- Reboot the phone
- Upgraded from 5.1 to 5.1.1 (iOS Version)
- Reinstalled app after full wipe upgrade
What else can i try to get this app to work? I can get it to work fine in demo mode as long as i dont sync to itunes to get the career mode enabled.
If you buy on an iPad you can normally restore your purchase on an iPhone from the game shop (main menu) so long as you are signed in with the same iTunes account. Not sure what's going on - still working on it.
i have the same problem was gutted as on nightshift i would keep me entertained

i have exactly the same problem i tried getting support from apple but dont seem to be getting anywhere, any updateon how to fix yet seeing as its a month from when you posted ? Thanks
I am having the exact same problem, ever since I bought the career pack the application just dies on me every time I launch it.
I've tried all of the above options and have also signed in with an alternative Game Center account to try to get past the issue which definitely seems game center / in-app purchase related.
I can send on Crash reports later, any developments on a fix?
I'm hoping that the forthcoming update will fix it but I don't know for sure. It's so frustrating as it happens to a handful of iOS devices with no rhyme or reason.

I think that the in-app purchase for the Career pack has become corrupted, I bought it and during the download the app crashed. Now whenever I try to re-apply the in-app purchase it crashes and whenever it tries to contact the app store to download my purchases or check for information it crashes.
Overall, I'd say there is an unexpected response coming back from the app store in a few isolated cases where the initial application of the in-app purchase fails.
