    Well done lema

Forgot to come last week, my mind drifted away just minutes before the race and the idea of a race only came back to me on Sunday

Ribeiro. I did practice a little otherwise I would've been last every race

You see... Formula 1 of Reeves and Kos was a romantic gentlemanly sport. Today drivers are awesome, yes, but back then... they were more than drivers, they were RACERS! Nobody knew the track by heart, you really had to have the gonads to go overtaking on "feeling" and your virtual life was on the line every turn. Men were separated from the boys on their talent, their bravery, their dedication and passion, fuel ran through their veins, not technical data, graphs and memorized braking points.

Season 1, or 2... or what was it... Kos did Brazil practice by driving the whole 15 lap track twice offline which gave him the edge to clinch that championship. Yes, that was in a way the beginning of the end.

Would Fangio qualify 2 seconds behind todays' slowest driver? He surely would, the approach, the style, the technical aspects, even his own physical fitness... would be the death of him.
But would anyone say "ah look at that lifeless robot perfectly gliding his machine alter ego, that partially became him, through smooth evenly repeating lines of pure lu.st for superiority, of conquering others in preparation for the race instead in the race itself"...

No one would my son. You can dominate through love of sport, but you can also love dominating... though similar, it will never be the same.

I light this candle to Kos, I light this candle to Reeves... and every other poor sob who put his life on the line every time he made the track without a single lap of practice, we're in your debt forever.

The competition is much more intense now-a-days - it's been taken to the next level, a much more intense level where it's harder to be competitive it's improvement - pure and simple.

    Brasil done....

Please give me more records to beat....im on vacations!

And no, again i didnt used Notepad to change them. You had 37.831s, a great time and it took me 3 practice sessions to beat it. First i managed to make 37.824s but i had the feeling i didnt made a good lap, or better, that i could do much better. So i run another practice session and made......

37.773s I think it will be pretty hard to beat it but....theres still some space for improvement i recon. Its like 100M on Athletics. When you see Bolt beating the world record, you clearly see that he could get it lower then that cause he takes the gas out when he sees he won. Dont get it. I think he just wants to save records to beat but maybe he´s unlucky and cant do it anymore so, i think he should alwasy give his maximum. I believe he will not beat world Record on Olympics this year. Unfortunately of course cause i would love to live that.
    Anyway, offtopic here...sorry.

    Cheers...

ps: Man, if you race like that offline, you really have the guts to be title contender for sure. Im anxious for next season in some way....or even this one, but i guess experience will dictate first places this year. Only few drivers drove under 38s on Brasil and you´re one of them!

    Kos race review:

    Italy:
Got 2nd on qualifying, then the server failed, got 2nd again with almost identical time but behind a different guy? Come race time I managed to pull of a Webber (lol) stalling my car for the first time since I can remember. The rest was largely uneventful, I followed a group of drivers, took a chance not to go to pits when I should've and lead for a while, wave to fans, etc. Boring race

    Nordschleife:
Well... some drivers today... some experienced driver that should know better but are getting old and forgetfull... forgot to tank enough fuel so I was left on the track with an assortment of slower drivers and got pole
The race was not rainy unfortunately so I was stuck with my usual problem, I had to make softs last 2 laps and I could do 1, I had to make hards last 3 laps and I could do 3. Nothing new

    Investigation

Reporting Przemek Kołowski for cutting the entry to the pit lane in Nordschliefe at the end of lap 2 or 3. We were specifically told before hand not to do this.

Complaint noted, Ribiero & Mellor are assigned to review this incident once the replays are in.

    Review:

    Italy

Crazy race where rain started with us and lasted till lap 24!! It got me in surprise and i didnt knew what to do at all so i just put wets and an amount of fuel before half....46 i think. It lasted for 13 laps and then i fueled for more 14, something like 50. I was in front all the time and but beeing followed all the time by Santa, Frost, Kotka. I think my team mate made a small mistake and fueled on 2nd stint not much, which made him go to pit one more time in the end. On last 3 laps softs were rulling cause rained had stoped. I was still in the lead but beeing following very close by peter an Frost. I made amistake in turn one i think and peter didnt exitated and took the chance.
Conclusion....i was on lead all race except for the last 1,5 lap where peter took the lead till the end. Wasnt so unhappy cause it meant i was making Q on next race. Even though i didnt knew what was going to happen next!

    Germany
Well, i was happy to set a Q here but....forgot this is a freaky track that 10% fuel is not enough to set a lap!!! So it meant i was starting before the last. Here theres almost nothing to know besides that soft tires last 1 lap and hard last for 2!!! Making the counts it meant it would be something like, 2+2+2+2+2+1, or any other combination with these numbers! I used the soft in the middle of the race but didnt got much from them except a small recover on Lema.
Was always changing positions because of different pit strategys so i didnt really knew which one i would get in the end. Last lap i saw Lema on the pit changing to soft and was in front of him on 2nd place but, his softs gave him that advantage necessary to take me over and get 2nd! Well done mate!

Was a strange race weekend, but strange doesnt mean bad. It was great actually, giving me the sensation of real F1. At least this season! My goals for this weekend, as i havent practiced at all due to lack of time, was to be in front of Lema and Prz to recover some points on the championship. Well i made that on first race very well, recovering 10 points from Prz and 8 from Lema i think, but on second race i failed against Lema. I got 3rd and he 2nd but at least i managed to stay in front of Prz. Im very curious to see the actual standings! I cant miss any more race this season if i want to be able to fight for this championship. Nice to see new competitive blood on the championship!
Thanks guys for the nice races! ok, now i go to have breakfast!

    Race review:

Italy: Nothing much to say, i didnt set a q because of win, but i was felling very very fast here and i was hoping to destroy the competition in the race(yes i think win was possible here for me even if i started from the back). Rain completely ruined race, so i couldnt do much better than 5th. Sadly

Nordschleif: Qualified 6th, with risky try to put softs and use KERS, that didnt pay off, but i wasnt worried at all because its difficult track and i knew that most of the players will not do good. Fortunately Pete and Rib were behind me. After few laps three of us separated with Peter in front(and Prz was here too somewhere but i didn't count him to be a threat after he stayed out for 3rd lap on hard in the begining, and i completely turn him off out of a picture). I was playing cat and mouse whole race with Rib, and did manage to finish second in front of him. Maybe i did too many mistakes for better than 2nd, but its difficult track, so... Congrats to Pete for his superb speed here.

Good weekend for Force India, we got finally 1-2, and i feel that i couldnt make more points under this circumstances, so i have to be satisfied, especially because i did manage to withstand pressure from Rib.

Congrats to Pete one more time for great performance, and two wins in a row

My opinion on matter is that Prz didnt gain much time by doing this, and his tires were ruined so its understandable why he made a mistake. Should have reduced speed anyway, he did cut it prety well. im anxious to see what stewards will decide. If replay is needed i got it.

True, it is understandable, and his tyres were ruined, and he didn't gain too much time. However the rule was specifically "do not cut into the pits". There's no point having the rule if people breaking the rule are going to be let off - regardless of the circumstances

On topic - Monza was fun today, last 3 lap sprint was awesome.

Off topic - Never talk about female athletes with Kolowski, he will find a way to ruin a ladies looks for you.

e.g. Susie Wolff apparently according to Prze looks too much like David Coulthard, looking at the picture i can see what he means now Poor Susie...

    Review

    Italy

Did a poor lap on the 2nd qualifying - messed up pulling away from the start line, cost me alot of time and started 6th. I was CERTAIN my teammate would win this race in normal conditions; i'm pretty quick in Monza but all the way through practice Daniel has been 0.3s quicker per lap!! However, we started under wet conditions and i knew he would struggle from the back as it's harder to gain time.

It was a fantastic race between Afonso, Kotka, Rob and myself under wet conditions! Never seperated by more than 1s and always switching order! When it started to dry out, i switched to soft tyres and began to pull away from Afonso who himself pulled away from Kotka and Rob (although this is not what Rib saw on his screen apparently; he says he led until the last two laps - that's NSGP for you!).

    Europe

I knew i was quick here, as perfect as i could be to be honest. Very confident of winning under any conditions, even starting from the back. I pulled a gap out at the start of the race then just backed off and managed the gap from then on

Delighted with two wins, although that means no quali for me at my home race in India! I'll do my best to be competitive though
