    Default NSGP Online Championship 10

    The basics

    • The NSGP Online Championshp (NSGPOC for short) is open to all regardless of skill/talent and anyone is welcome to join even if the season has already begun.
    • You don't even need to have purchased the game as the demo version works for online play.
    • We do not use any mods in our championshp but to participate in all races you will need to download this ---------> TRACKPACK
    • All races start on Saturday 10:00 UK Time. At this time there will be two back-to-back races.

    Standings

    SEASON 10 STANDINGS
    DATABASE HOME

    Rules
    • Race length: Variable, approx 13 minutes. Check the database for exact distances
    • Collisions: OFF
    • Damage: ON
    • COM racers: OFF
    • Fuel: ON
    • KERS: ON
    • Qualifying: ON, although the person who won the last race does not set a qualifying lap.
    • Tyres: ON

    Race control

Stewards: Afonso Ribeiro and Paul Mellor

    • Race control look at incidents upon an investigation request from a driver.
    • Every driver is allowed 3 investigation requests per season (you do not lose a request if you win the investigation).
    • Investigation requests must be submitted within two hours after the final championship race of the day.
    • Investigation requests submitted after this time will not be delt with.
    • Penalties will be fully decided by the stewards. A list of offences/penalties will be kept here for consistency and future reference.
    • It is your responsibility to press F1 to save your replay, no replay could count against you in an investigation depending on the discretion of the stewards.
    • Should one or more stewards be involved in an incident, they will not have a say in the final decision of the incident - this is when the backup stewards come into play.
    • Replays should be submitted here.
    • Please rename your replay file to SurnameRace.rep (e.g. FrostSpain.rep).

    Investigation requests remaining:

    Peter Santamaria-Woods (2)
    All other drivers (3)

    Penalties applied:

Driver Reason Penalty given at Penalty served at Penalty
Przemek Kołowski "Kolowski did break the NSGPOC rules regarding non-participation in qualifying by the previous race winner" Japan Japan 3 seconds added to his race time

    Other information
    • All online cars are supposed to be equally good, regardless of the team (but there is some debate on this), nevertheless, it's marginal difference if anything.
    • There are 20 races, all of which count towards the championship.
    • The points received in each race are as follows: 25, 18, 15, 12, 10, 8, 6, 4, 2, 1.
    • Tie breakers: higher number of points / higher number of 1st, 2nd, ... places / higher place in most recent race.
    • Constructors championship scoring is the sum of both cars points.
    • You must enter the official server with your username as your surname (last name).
    • The qualifying lap starts the moment you cross the start/finish line.
    • Going backwards is forbidden at any time during qualifying or the race.
    • Once you have raced for one team, you can not race for another team until the end of the season.
    • If you are absent for 6 races, your seat may be taken by a new driver.
    • One hour before the race you are not permitted to do a race online unless the server is set for 3laps. The host of the 3lap server decides on whether qualifying or a race will be practiced.
    • If during qualifying or the race the server disconnects, or if 50% or more of the drivers participating disconnect then both qualifying and the race will be restarted. This process will be done twice in total. After two failed attempts the race will be postponed and moved to the end of the calendar.
    • During a restart the host will wait one minute after the last disconnection before going to the track (to give everyone a chance to come back).
    • If there is no rain you must use both type of tyre during a race.
    • Blue flags are in operation so if you are about to be lapped, move over and let the drivers ahead of you (in terms of position) through.
    • Excluding the first race of the season, the person who won the last GP is not allowed to set a qualifying lap at the following GP.
    • The current president is Rob Frost. The duties include resolving ties in voting, making decisions about restarting a server and helping to ensure fairplay both on the forum and during a race.

    First suggestions for season 10:

    - winner of previous race (excluding the first race of the season) starts with an extra ammount of fuel (something like 80%, or 100%);
    - if no collisions wins for all races, race control disappears and only the president decides in small issues (lessens the burocracy).

    Cheers

Hmmm....about winner of previous race starting with heavy tank....i dont think its fair at all. It really makes a big difference starting with 45% or 80% or 100%. Its like loosing 5 seconds per lap compared to the other ones on softs and low tank. Unfair i believe. And even though i dont like the current system where winner of previous race doesnt set a Q(mainly cause im one of the few suffering with this), i think it has been working out good, for the sake of the competition.

No RC...if no collisions wins i guess it makes some sense to abolish RC. Although theres somethings to be checked with importance, like if a driver used both types of tires, or if some mclaren driver drove backwards to pit,.....

Added the first one at 80%, want me to add 100% too?
As for the second suggestion there is no need to add - if that's what you want vote no to collisions and no to race control

Also added one of Prz's suggestions on the other thread that i forgot about

Just add the question to wether or not players want the winner to start with extra fuel e next race. If we accept then we decide what should be the right ammount. We can also introduce the rule for the podium players of the previous to race to start with extra fuel. Do you guys it starts to mess up the question sheet wi so many options? Sometimes i think we complicate to much the rules... But on the other end there are rules that add thrill and fun...

Joao your idea can't work because we cant establish the amount of fuel if its not 0 or 100. What's wrong with wet tyres? I think it makes next race more interesting for the winner, as he has to decide when to put wets. Rain might be a blessing .

    Voting has now begun!

Voting is weighted based upon how many races you attended in season nine to give a greater voice to the more dedicated players.

Please enter your votes on the "Season 10 Voting" sheet, either YES or NO. Make sure you use your own column and no other (every driver eligible to vote has their own column).

    Under the weighting system:

Driver Name (your column) - how much your vote is worth
    Afonso Ribeiro (RIB ) - 18points
    Peter Santamaria-Woods (SAN) - 18points
    Przemek Kołowski (KOL) - 18points
    Rob Frost (FRO) - 18points
    Anthe Bubić (BUB ) - 15points
    Paul Mellor (MEL) - 15points
    Srđan Kos (KOS) - 14points
    Markus Kotka (KOT) - 12points
    Beni Mari (MAR) - 10points
    Klemen Ferenc (FER) - 9points
    Tom Roden (ROD) - 8points
    Daniel Lemaić (LEM) - 7points
    Marek Krzemiński (KRZ) - 7points
    Mario Ceraj (CER) - 4points
    Hans Larsson (LAR) - 4points
    Grieg Ward (WAR) - 3points
    Alex Lloyd (LLO) - 2points
    Noa Chang (CHA) - 2points
    Jordan Nuttall (NUT) - 2points
    João Costa (COS) - 1point
    Ben Hughes (HUG) - 1point

NOTE: Vote weighting will be updated after this weekends races, you will not need to revote!

Also if you wish to run for the presidency/become a steward next season let me know soon!

    Default Track voting

OK, the track voting has begun. Vote until Saturday, May 19, 22:00 UK time.

You have 1 vote for each race you took part in. You put 1 vote on each track.

20 tracks with most votes will make it for season 10.

For all tracks that made it to top 20 but were beaten by other tracks from the same country, two backup GPs are provided: Europe GP and Pacific GP. Please check the voting sheet to see which tracks are eligible.

For all cases of tied votes, the newly appointed president will decide which track wins.

    VOTE HERE:

Want to clarify something, what if we get, for example, two Brazillian races? They will both be included right? Just one under a different name.

The 20 tracks with the most votes should be included regardless of the country they are in!

If Paul Ricard makes it in I think we need to either:

    a) Put a barrier in that notorius cutting zone.
    b) Change the layout of that corner to make the 'non cutting' line less detrimental to race performance.

    Thoughts?
