Original Version?

Greetings,

I have been enjoying playing SLR ever since you guys released it. It is really great thanks. Question though. I am going traveling for a bit and will be taking my netbook with me (Nvidia Ion based). Originaly when I purchased it on steam it was version 1.0 (i think) and even on my old netbok with Intel GMA it ran great. However after the update to 1.33 it would only run on my much more powerful semi-gaming laptop. I also have purchased the non steam version from your site soon after 1.33 was released (steam was not that reliable running off-line for a bit) but that made no difference in performance.

I have had my duel-core, Nvidia Ion2 based netbook for a while and while SLR 1.33 is sort of playable it still is very jittery especially if I am passing a set of "light gates" on the course or getting hit by another player. In the config file I already reduced "numstars" to 0 and "Maxparticles" to 0.

While I realize that the features of version 1.33 need more resources to make it work (and really they are really great improvements), and my netbook us just underpowered. Is there any way I can gain access to the old 1.0 version that was before the 1.3 update of all the new features? Steam being ever dilligent in updateing, removed the old files so they have never been seen since.

I enjoy still enjoy killing some time with SLR at home, but would be super cool to do the same on the plane

It might be released after the PC version but there is an issue of getting Steam to work with BlitzMax on Mac builds. It depends if Valve will allow me to simply use the non-Steam Mac version.
