Hey guys, remember me?
Just dropped by to say that I love NSS Mobile! I haven't bought career mode yet, but I definitely will be the next time I get an iTunes voucher
As for improvements, the only thing I can suggest is with the interface, when you slide your finger up to scroll through lists such as selecting what country you want to start in, that could be improved, but other than that small detail, there really isn't much to suggest!
Great work Si![]()

In my mind it should be a lot harder to advance your stats, and also it shouldn't be possible to just pick any club you want. Let's not forget you're a commodity to clubs, so the other club will have to pay for you.
So I'd suggest the following:
+ Add financial strength stats to clubs (perhaps even a sugar daddy trait for PSG and Man City for example)
+ Add team strength stats to clubs (so you know how fast your team mates are going to be, how much chance you have of winning the league, it's easy to guess the strength of big teams, but there should be some stat)
+ Add contract duration (fun and all to renegotiate your contract but it also means that the longer your contract is, the harder it will be to get a transfer since you're committing yourself to a club)
+ Negative skill points accumulating when you pass 30 (aging)
It would also be nice if you could acquire certain traits that have an effect on your career. For example, I'm fairly selfish when it comes to chances, of course this has an effect on your teams core but it's not really that noticeable. Also, giving a team mate your car/scooter whatever will easily fix that.
Suppose you have a few traits:
+ Egoistic/selfish (ratio of goals to assists/passes > x) --> good relationship with sponsors, bonus to sponsor income, fewer chances during the game
+ Unselfish - passing master (ratio goals to assists/passes < x) --> good relationship with team mates, more chances during the game
+ Family man (Girlfriend relationship > x) --> chance of having a kid you can name and later start a new career with (continuity)
+ Negligent husband (Girlfriend relationship < x) --> chance of the special Terry-Bridge event
+ Gambling loser (Gambling losses > percentage of life income) --> forced approaches to fix games, must intentionally play bad or risk losing almost everything
+ Gambling winner (Gambling wins > percentage of life income) --> lucky charm, events fall your way more often, fewer repairs, negotiating contracts easier
+ Flashy (owns "flashy" version of gadgets, divide those luxury items into categories to choose from)
etc.
etc.
Ultimately you could even have these traits separated by season/career. Your career stats will dictate what kind of person you are in general and what teams might approach you. Season stats will determine events during the season.
Suppose you're a selfish, flashy player Real Madrid might approach you, whereas if you're unselfish and a family man Barcelona might want you.
Most important, the ability to synchronize the game saves for IOS on icloud so do not miss anything after a hard reset
iCloud saves have been suggested and discussed before. It is not up to Simon to implement this feature, but to the creators of the language NSS Mobile is coded in. Unfortunately, this means there is no ETA for this feature.

I'd like to see injuries added to make it more lifelike, Especially when your running on empty.
The ability to do a dribble has been suggested and i'd love to see how that would be implemented in some form of mini game.
Being forced out of your club, Told your no longer needed or being sold to raise funds.
The horse racing mini game added to the casino would be nice.
Testemonials or some kind of acknowledgement for being a legend at your club.
The game is amazing the way it is though, Awesome job SI
This may have been addressed somewhere but there really needs to be some reasonable limit to the number of seasons one can play. Even giving the player 25 years seems like plenty. Please address.
I've played NSS on and off for years now, and in the last few months reacquainted myself with it on iOS.
Overall, great stuff - what an addictive and rewarding game. So many brilliant touches.
Here are my main suggestions/gripes, focusing on the iOS version:
- Interceptions: the single most annoying aspect of the game on touchscreen is the difficulty in seeing exactly where you're moving the player for interceptions - it's obscured by your finger. Please please can we have something where the player is guided by relative finger movement, not movement towards the point where you touch? i.e. if you touch a couple of centimetres below the player, the player does not run toward the touch point; the player only moves to match the motion of your finger drag. Similar to the way that the Clone tool in Photoshop works... that way you could clearly see the player, and where you're telling the player to run to.
- Fans can't see beyond one game: so many times I've seen fans give a negative score for a draw/loss on the second leg of a knockout even though our team wins on aggregate. Shouldn't they be a bit smarter?
- Sponsorships don't keep up: Sponsors keep on costing energy (and cost increasing amounts of money in the form of NRG drink) as your player rating increases, but the amount you earn from sponsorships doesn't increase: there's just the fixed-price sponsor slots to fill. This seems a bit askew: shouldn't sponsor deal values increase as your rating goes up? Perhaps sponsor deals could have a duration - e.g. one season - and they are then re-negotiated to suit player value/rating. Going further, perhaps at the end of a season you could see bids in each sponsor category: you choose which sponsor to sign up to... and perhaps some particular kinds of sponsor offer more money but have a negative effect on fans (perhaps like a cheap and nasty online casino or something else which could damage the player's reputation).
- Ratings sometimes overly harsh: there seem to be plenty of cases where the player is judged too harshly for, for instance, having a couple of instances where you choose to shoot rather than pass, and hit the woodwork or miss, even though the shoot option was clearly the better chance.
- Player prize money: There's absolutely no advantage for a player in winning a big competition right now other than getting an achievement. Shouldn't there be some special cash bonuses for e.g. league win, continental win... ?
- Things to do at higher levels: Once you get up to high rating levels the game starts to get a bit humdrum, once you've won everything you can win and have bought everything you can buy. Some drama needed here; maybe more and more risk of scandal, or injuries, or at least more things to buy...?
And... looking at the bigger picture for options in terms of long term development of the game:
- Moving action: Right now the on-field play in NSS (with the exception of interceptions) is pretty much static: you have as much time as you like before your kick to consider what to do (and this is a great aspect of the game), and each moment is basically a kick from a stationary position with most other players on the field stationary unless the ball is coming directly to them: almost set-piece puzzles or snooker. I really think this game is great as it is, and worth keeping into the future. But what about another mode of play, as an option, where each piece of on-field play is dynamic: where you perhaps still start with no time pressure while you study the positions, but then you hit "go" and the action starts on the field with realistic movement: all players move, and your player can move (dribbling), except for free kicks/corners, with you tracing your finger on the screen to guide where your player runs (preferably using the clone-tool offset suggestion above re interceptions to avoid the obscuration problem); and you run the risk of being tackled. You then tap to kick, and the current interface starts, where you pull to set kick direction/strength, and then go to the ball-kick screen. This would make for much more complex interaction between players (and, I realise, considerably trickier AI) and a much richer (and more difficult) on-field play experience without losing the essence of the current game.
Just a bit more, following on from previous post...
Embarrassingly I'd never seen NSS5 until after writing this, and the "Moving action" suggestion I had above includes elements of what NSS5 already has.
A couple more things re the iOS version (1.17 right now):
- International relations: I'd really like to be able to see my relationship level with the international coach/team/fans at any time, not just briefly after an international match. Unless I'm missing something there seems to be no way to see that on the status screens etc. Likewise I'd like the option to spend energy on the international coach/team/fans to improve the relationship.
- Matching game: I understand the idea behind the matching game - to have a skill/luck element in improving relationships, not just simple expenditure of energy - but the game itself is pretty irritating, after a while: it's always the same, and it's kind of off-theme. What about ditching it and either replacing it with a simple quick luck-based result (sometimes you fail to impress your teammates...) or introduce some other factor to add the extra interest/complexity. Like, for instance...
- Stress: Here's a thought - add "stress" as a basic player factor, along with the existing "energy" and "happiness". Your stress might go up when, say, having to spend a lot of time with fans, or sponsors, or when you have a series of low ratings, or spend a lot of time on the road, and gets relieved by perhaps spending time with girlfriend, or potentially destructive things like drinking/gambling, which then in turn create the chance of a scandal and negative fan/boss relationship impact. I was thinking that perhaps if you have low stress, then spending energy on boss/team/fan/gf/sponsor relationships is near-guaranteed success, but high stress brings with it a risk of blowing your top and having a negative effect on the relationship.
Make it harder to secure deals at top clubs and give an option to retire from internationals. Those games get very tedious.
I'd also like to see a dribbling mini game incorporated. Shooting should be more challenging and clear cut chances rarer. How often does a player score over 60 goals a season really but I am doing that regularly. I also transferred from a 1st to a 2nd division team on the back of winning many trophies and achieving many personal accolades yet the fans hate me. In reality there would be mass hype and I'd be loved instantaneously. It would be the players, if anyone, that would be slow to warm to me.
I like the added trophy screen but still feels that it needs a tweak. Why is the league position added after international tournaments? For instance, it will say
Year 6: Eng Div One 1st place
Year 6: World Cup
Year 6: Eng FA Cup
Year 6: Eng League Cup
For example. This seams a bit odd and cluttered. I'd also like to see some form of colour coding on this screen to make your achievements with different teams stand out. I'd also like to see play offs added to this screen and insignificant league positions removed. Perhaps have a screen dedicated primarily to your league finished year-on-year.
Since the last update the kits have been a lot better in the main leagues but there are still some anomalies. Sporting and Porto in Portugal have one colour kits which is disappointing. Coudl some form of kit editor be included or would that be too much memory usage for the app?
I've been playing some more with the NSSM and I have these comments:
1. There are some short names that I could do without. A splash screen after loosing/winning a cup final, gives this info: XX won the FA Cup Fnl.. I can understand club, competition and league names are shortened, but final? Naaah
2. When training my horse, it would be nice to see what each star costs. It is annoying getting 'not enough cash'.
3. An idea for the match. When there is a cross, perhaps the player could get the chance to head the ball towards the goal? Same scenario/screen as when shooting.
4. The stats screen with the former team view, is only showing the last 2 teams. I would like to have it display all teams.
Fantastic game. But I've a few suggestions
1. The ability to 'Retire' a player and start a new one (still keeping career stats so you can look over it if you wish)
2. After age 25 or 30 perhaps, your stats start to decrease at an increasing pace each season, which will make it harder to play top flight games towards the end of your career (around 37-40) So you either have to retire or start playing for smaller clubs if you want to continue. This might require a club to have the ability to sell you or fire you or perhaps lend you out to a club. This would force people to either retire or start moving down the leagues again. Basically it should be close to impossible for a player to play if they are over 40 odd.
3. More ways to spend money. I'm 34 at the moment and have nothing to spend cash on besides NRG drinks and gambling. I've bought horses and raced them etc. Needs more stuff I think.
4. Perhaps make it a little harder to get into a Premiership club. Perhaps you need to get into a ENG L1, L2 or ENG CHAM club and finish within the top 2 or 3 before a premiership club will take interest.
