    If you mean player names: only the names of registered users appear in the game.
    For the team names, there is a settings file where you can activate the full names.

    Then you will see for example Manchester United instead of MAN U.
    Although in some screens you keep seeing MAN U, for example in the league table and fixtures list.

    Tx a lot for your answer

    So it is impossible to play with real names ! oh no ! I can't believe it It is not exciting to play with unknow player ! imagine Man Utd with Frank Pierce, John Meyers, Jean-François Smet and Fabrizio Buccella on the team !

    Nobody is working on a real names database to introduce in the game ?!?

    It's been said before, but anyways, the person who did the names database for the previous games has left and rarely visits the forum. Si cannot do it by himself, so he has decided to spend his time working on the actual game play rather than a real name database.

    I agree that Si should not waste his valuable time on a real name database, but focus on gameplay instead.
    But if it is a matter of time and knowledge of teams, than I think the solution is to have the forum community do it.
    Everyone could do a number of teams or a country. Just a thought

    Alas, it's not just time, it's a matter of game structure. Adding a player database (real or otherwise) bloats the game and severely affects processing, whilst also requiring extensive work done to facilitate transfers, player development, finances and other elements that don't currently exist in the game (all that does exist is deliberately focused on your own player, which is a much simpler task).

    One of the neat things that the database has is the shared user names, as you get a feel for real people playing the game. And if you and a friend play, it's kinda cool to to know you are playing with or against them when you see them in the formations.
    If you really want to have player names, go to your local football club's website, find the roster list, and then stretch your imagination over to who is running on the pitch.

    It's almost been a year. I'm just wondering if anyone know if there is a "database" that has the real club names in it by now? Tried to look in the forums here, but could not find anything about it.

    It post number 2 in here. It is said that there is a setting file where you can change for example MAN U into Manchester United. How do you do that?

    In the installation folder of the game you'll find a Settings directory.
    It contains a settings.txt file, which has (amongst others) the following entry:
    fullnames=0
    You need to change this to
    fullnames=1
    and save the file.

    The next time you start the game, you will see Manchester United instead of MAN U.
