TO MAKE F1 1989 MOD WORKING PROPERLY!

You will find instructions in Readme inside the rar. Most important thing to avoid crash or loading errors is to place all the files correctly. Tiles are the most critical files to install. You basically need the original Tiles folder (as after a fresh install of NSGP) and just put my tiles (is important to keep a right order for editor and tracks loading). If you have added any custom objects or track tiles make a backup and remove them, then add mine.

For any problems just ask me!

    Tracks-FIX

You can finally download the FIX for a complete working MOD, just replace the files in "F1 1989 Season/Media/Tracks/"

    FIX
    ------------------------------

I'm doing the real JEREZ circuit cause the one in F1 1989-90 Mod is actually SPAIN-Catalunya... next time please don't call Jerez the layout of Catalunya.

For real results and driver performances you need to complete a race. Clicking ESC can produce sometimes anomalies in qualifying and race results.

Didn't even finished the 1990 Season mod, but I'll straightly try this one! Looks impressive as well (at least by the videos and images here)!

There is a Jerez track in my 1997 mod

You may have to add some decoration to it but you are welcome to use it if you like.

In my opinion this mod is the best of the best But i didn't found Hockenheimring (long version) and so it is at all curious about whether that would be possible rip a few mods and create a career in this way for example from 89 to 99 season Something like in F1 Challenge 99-02 ? In future.

    Great job Gross.

Thanks guys, well, I'm still playing this I'm at season 2 and it seems in fact that all ranking problems have been fixed. I enjoyed a lot the head to head Gross-Mansell in Estoril! What I have noticed is that AI strenght change drastically, for example now Senna, after winning the 1 season is stuck in 9 position after 13 rounds!

    @BrokenEar
Is possible to have this in NSGP?!? Would be fantastic if NSGP load mods year after year. Maybe Siread can create something about this
(for example you have 10 mods in your folder and NSGP load it all)

At the moment I'm a bit tired for making some changes or creating a track by zero.
I'd really like to complete the series of these classic mods with one of my favourite year, 1985. Any of you is interested in collaborate with me in the near future?

I mean, car liveries and track creations for NSGP 1.27 at the moment is not so complicated , but this time I'd like to make sure all is working, not posting too much links or fixes. And why not, also new engine sounds?

Also, I noticed it. Some tracks may require some amendments. Such a track in Phoenix to play with the computer was a real destruction derby: moreover, half the rate of blocking the track and bounces off the barriers. But the main thing that you can feel a little good old days of F1.

Guys you are welcome to do all the corrections you want, let me know with a message and I will fix. 1989 mod is the 1990 "upgrade", cause my first one still contain some bugs and not all the tiles I have done. In fact if you download both I suggest you to play only 1989 cause is the most complete (also for engine sounds)

This mod is fantastic mate, well done.

    Positives
    • Great Tracks
    • Car sprites are really cool
    • Car speed and handling also cool

This mod has got me back into single player mode, its been like a year since I last played single player.

    Negatives

    • Some tracks have checkpoint issues
    • Phoenix track needs tweaking, AI can't handle it.

Since playing this my online performance has suffered

Are you making any more mods Ludwig?

Thanks Rob! I'm kind noobish in online mode, due to my lack of time and little practice...
but I enjoy a lot doing some mods, especially the car liveries and sound part. I'm finishing a new mod that will be soon ready... but this time I'd like to make with very few bugs and just 1 link. If you noticed I have put a lot of fixes and corrections in my 1989-1990 posts. You need to download all to correct the Checkpoints problems, should be a link with the track fixes...

The mod I'm doing now is 1985 Season, is almost finished but 5 new tracks still to create... if someone have them already would be really helpful, anyway I've already started them...

    Detroit_1985
    Osterreichring_1985
    Kyalami_1985
    Brands Hatch_1985
Zandvoort_1985 -----> the credits for this will go to Paranhos cause I've taken from him

Of course I will add my tiles.
I will post some preview in these days, this will be the last Classic mod I will do cause I've finished ideas plus my favourite years have already covered

Thanks for playing them, I appreciate. NSGP is great.

Just installed this - very impressive! If you want a good challenge, make sure you get into the spirit of it and disable Fuel. As long as you make your races <15 laps, the AI refuel bug isn't an issue and the racing is quite competitive this way!

Now that Si has make some attempt to fix the online bugs for mod tracks, wondering if anyone is keen to try an SGP or similar using the tracks in this mod? Quick straw poll of interested persons?

Should be nice doing a championship for example with my 1985 mod (mainly because is the last one and contain all the tiles and updates, plus I think to have done a nice job with Brands Hatch circuit that I like

Some guys here on the forum can create a thread for all you need to race this championship and we can find online! Of course NO KERS and NO FUEL, a pure race battle!
If you try old Monaco also, I've made the little change to the corner after the tunnel that was quite straight

Now that's what I call a big finish! 1989 mod has my seal of approval....
