But by believing in that you completely disqualify your signature statement, because:
You obviously had to base it on facts (which I believe you did - things like race results) and what I had said is just a slight correction based on the data you overlooked (in my theory /speed = who would win if we had all stayed on the track/ and /who eventually won = skill, success, luck, any number of things except speed/)
If it is unexplainable then my signature could claim Afonso is the slowest driver until proven otherwise and it would stand on the same ground as your does, as simply a provocation. And those are not nice!
True, but arguing is generally more engaging then what it takes to notice people wandering away in disgustSadly, I have no idea how to bring back the friendliness of earlier times. Starting with myself I easily see where I could improve but it would demand giving up the struggle for anything when it's that struggle that makes it feel like this is any kind of community at all. Certainly I could remove myself to improve the atmosphere a bit
but would it really be a gain? Seemingly the forum would only drop into a friendlier state of fascism. Without mutual respect these things will always happen but we can't enforce respect either. I can imagine a reasonable president with greater authorities sorting it out but I could not say who could that be. Seems like anyone who hasn't held their tongue for too long has demonstrated a lack of reason, compassion, non-selfish desires or any number of things
