@Logan - fix'd
@Przemek - nice job there
At the tender age of eighteen, promising driver Peter Santamaria-Woods has annouced his comeback to NSGPOC for his third season with Hispania Racing. However, as part of the deal, Santamaria-Woods has a clause in his contract stating that Hispania are obliged to release Santamaria-Woods should a seat at Force India become vacant. The young Indian did race for Force India in the previous two seasons, however both campaigns were ruined by "personal issues".
Sanatmaria-Woods stated: "I'm delighted to have signed this deal with Hispania Racing and am looking forward to working with Abdulrahman [Almokla], while my heart lies with Force India i will aim to be consistent in my new team for as long as i am racing here".
Hispania Racing have now contacted the NSGP board to confirm that the deal can go through, there are doubts because a driver is not permitted to transfer teams during the middle of the season however this contradicts the clause in Santamaria's contract. Hispania are hoping that they can get special dispensation though due to Santamaria-Woods' previous involvement with Force India and the NSGPOC. Both Hispania and Santamaria await a decision.
Hmmm, Official NSGPOC Public Relations Officer & Spokesperson hat is on.
Now then providing that the other members of the NSGPDA have no issues to raise on the matter then I would think that we can welcome you back to the NSGPOC, obviously in the unlikely event of a Force India seat becoming avaliable it would mean that the Force India driver who leaves points total being deducted from the constructors championship and replaced with yours (mentioned just for clarity). However we must take a solid stance on this so we can avoid an open and wild drivers market mid season. I don't have a problem with it when we take into consideration Mr Santamaria-Woods history in the championship, but then my teamates super license has the words SpinDizzy in place of his name.
(takes hat off)
From 1 former Force India driver to another welcome back the championship(provisionally)
It has been rumored, that the Force India team has been sold to a Swedish clothing company Hennes & Mauritz AB. The former team owner Vijay Mallya is reported to have been tired of Santamaria's poor performance and frequent absence. The new buyers have found a loophole in Santamaria's contract and replaced him with fresh drivers from Sweden. Some well-informed sources report that it is only a matter of time before the team changes its name to Force Svenska.
PS Should I add you to the championship table or not yet?
I think that if there is one team which will retain both it's drivers this season it's Force India. Larsson and Chang are keen, consistent drivers who have already positioned Force India ahead of Renault in the season IV Constructors' Championship (GRRRR!).
Oh, and Rob, you were elected NSGPOC Public Relations Officer & Spokesperson on the understanding that you would continue to abuse NSGP members and generally do the same for NSGP's reputation as Max Mosley did for F1. You're not living up to your election promises![]()
Enabling people to change teams would make it possible for them to represent a different team each race. Imagine how the driver list would look like! Horrible! Also, my database is constructed in a way that enables a driver to be assigned only to one car number in a season. It would be a great effort for me to change that.
If changing teams was to be allowed, we should treat it as a complete transfer, with all the results and points for current season going to the new team (like you were driving for your new team from the beginning of the season). Also, to avoid conflict, it should only be done when all active drivers from the old team and new team agree to the transfer and/or a majority of all active drivers votes for it.
Wow guys, it looks like we have a fairly good number of racers this year, lets hope we can have a few where all or close too all turn up!
Btw...what is the most online cars that have raced weather it be in or out of the NSGPOC? Would there be an issue if by chance everyone did turn up?
We've had 10 racers on 3 occasions I think and 11 racers once. Any possible issues were related to my lousy connection and perhaps the previous game version's inferior online code?
Let's not get overly optimistic though, we'd need to have 30 registered players for a possibility for 15 of them showing up![]()
Just to confirm, which game version are we using?
I think i have the old one ...
