    Default New Star GP v1.27 - PC/MAC - OUT NOW!

    NSGP version 1.27 is ready! An email will be going out to all the existing customers soon which will contain details on how to obtain the full version. The demo version can be downloaded here:


    Thanks to all the 'unusual suspects' from the forum for their expert advice and endless requests.

    The translation file still needs updating, so if you have time to help, open up the file New Star GP/Languages/NSGP_TransFile.txt in Excel and update your language column. Then send me the file and I will include it in a future update.

    Here is a list of all the changes since the last official release (1.16)...

    Changes 1.27
    Closed debug loop-hole
    Version number displayed when player connects to chat room

    30% fuel allowed in qualifying
    Fixed colliding with ghosted cars that have finished
    Fixed replay after finish showing ghosted cars

    Turning off Fuel means cars will be fueled enough for session/race
    -Car speed will be affected as fuel depletes but it will never run out
    Fixed showing career home screen when quitting editor

    Multiplayer
    -Added host option for collisions during race
    -Fixed Play button bug
    -If host quits qualifying or race all racers return to lobby even if they are still racing
    -Fixed player status not updating on driver panel
    -Car dies if client quits race early
    -Fixed cars 21-24 staying still on grid for clients
    -Fixed (I think) rain continuing to fall during a dry race after an online wet race

    Restored pixel-art cars/added new teams

    Car behind time shown even when you are not in first position

    -Old saves will not load in this version. This is to protect new leaderboards.

    Remaining fuel report is more conservative
    Fixed pit bug where car runs out of fuel as it enters pit bay, refuels but then runs slow

    Deleted cheats from leaderboards
    Added some anti-cheat checks for the leaderboard
    Pruned leaderboard of slow times
    Fixed trackside objects clipping
    Added keys/joy GUI control
    Fixed track screen not showing tracks numbered over 17 in mods
    Fixed fuel messages when fuel option is off

    Multiplayer
    -Fixed client status not updating when returning to lobby
    -Fixed bug where host always starts last on the grid
    -Fixed connection issues causing crash

    Modding
    -Added points system to Engine.ini to allow modding 'points_X'
    -Rain light can be forced off in Engine.ini to help modding 'rainlight'
    -Minimum slip-streaming speed can be adjusted to a percentage of topspeed (0.25-1.0) in Engine.ini 'slipstream_min'
    -Engine sound can be modified to normal sports car sound in Engine.ini 'sound_f1engine'
    -Effect of fuel weight can be changed in Engine.ini (2000 Heavy - 10000 Light) 'fuelweight'

    Hi, i was waiting for this update to use a mod with this feature:

    "Added points system to Engine.ini to allow modding 'points_X'"

    But I noticed in beta versions, and now in final update, maybe a bug:

    When the race is finished racers get points correctly as setup in engine.ini, but when you go to main screen, the lists shows 00:00:0000 and Pts: DNF to all racers.

    Team table updates points correctly, but not racer points championship.

    Did you quit the race?

    Can anyone else confirm this?

    Just tested this and can't seem to replicate it, even tried changing the amount of points that are given just in case it was that and still works fine.

    @Dan - I look foward to your mod, I prefer the handling on it

    Ive just started a race, and noticed that the lower teams just get out of my way (as if lapping) when they should be racing for positions...!!!

    Im in a mclaren and started last and all the lower teams just move out of my way until i get to the renaults!!

    THIS MAY OF BEEN A ONCE OFF I RESTARTED MY GAME (NEW SAVE ETC) AND IT APPEARED TO OF STOPPED!.

    BUT I HAVE NOTICED AI CARS DONUTING AFTER THE EXITING PIT ALNE ESPECIALLY BAHRAIN!
    I FIXED THIS IN MY OLD MOD BY ADJUST THIER LINE OUT OF PITS...

    Nice Work

    I'm just a bit confused about the leaderboard, since i guess the best way to a best time is to have fuel and tyre wear off and try in practice but i noticed two things:

    -If in practice you start with more then 50% fuel i think, and your times get better while your car gets lighter
    -Still in practice if you start with Fuel ON, and then switch to Fuel OFF, then you can just start with 30% fuel in your car.

    Not sure if it is supposed to be like that, or do you do your best times in races thanks to slipstream?

    When I click the button of 'show info' my nick is empty. In 'fast race' is not happend, but when I create a name I can't see my name in this window

    Default pit on last lap

    a problem i've noticed is of you are playing with no refueling, in the races every car will pit and change tyres just before the last lap, regardless of when they pitted most recently to.
    to be fair, i have only tried it on 15 laps, and it may be different on different aount of laps.

    I emailed a couple of months ago for my authentication code again as i had to re-boot my PC.

    I just finished a race in career.
    Driving my lotus into 9 place???
    The last 3 or 4 laps everybody pitted every lap!
    I made up places driving from P14 to P9 ending in points.

    I was playing in Hard mode on australia without my kers.
    The lotus goes a lot faster without kers.

    Is this a known problem?
