    Ok, so the ship chosing cathegory was a fail but the game works and is fun as it ever was. Now all we need is a format and a start date and I'm up for anything... I'd like each week to have at least 20 laps though so we can run perhaps 4 races x 5 laps /week etc. No reason why we could not repeat races over again like they sometimes play each oponnent 4x in small football leagues, etc. Thoughts?

    Well, there's 6 default tournaments - each tournament consists of 4 races. Pick one tournament each week and run that. That's tracks selected.

    Now someone needs to suggest a scoring system.

    Agreed. How many tournaments in a season? We can't run tournaments online, can we? But we can pick those races manually? We'd be giving points for separate races, right?

    We can wing it post-race even but here are a few sensible guesses:

    Scoring system: Current F1 one? It has points for 10 racers which is much more than we need and potential for growth in the future. (just sayin'...)

    Structure & Format: (what is the difference between these two?)
    The game is nicely divided into 6 tournaments of 4 races each. Convenient!
    The only thing that remains to be decided is the tournament multiplier - a 6 week championship could be a bit on the lame side, 12 weeks shows promise, 18 weeks.... etc.

    Laps: If I understood well you cannot turn off the AI players and those do tend to exhibit behaviour of firing all their weaponry at one single human player if the poor sob ends up at the wrong place and time. With that in mind, and the previous experience of a lot of online testing, I'm thinking longer races would be exceedingly more difficult to survive. 3 laps is fun but the whole thing would be over before it started so I'm looking at 5 laps at least (5x4 in total for one race day) ...

    Rules: Equal ships (since we don't get to choose), Reverse points grid (more drama is always welcome!), Hard? difficulty so it's as fast and chaotic as possible, AI players not counted towards championship, all human players must take on a nickname and behaviour of an F-zero character.

    Ok, the last one was going too far perhaps...

    Yes, it was I propose four races every day, 5 laps. I also agree with the scoring system Sida proposes. As for the ships, I also think ships should be equal, and I think we should race in hard dificulty. What do you mean with reverse points grid?
