i attached them, but it's useless in the new demo since the sprites are packed into the .exe i think. but you can test it with the beta.
some parts look extremely thin, because i only deleted the contour and didn't add anything.
i didn't change the keeper sprites, just wanted to see how it looks (imo it looks amazingly retro).
edit: shouldn't be that hard for the one who made the sprites to make them without the outline, would be nice if you could choose between outline and non-outline
well, about the demo... well, i like the engine, but the gameplay needs a loooooooooooooooot of improvement
- only 1 key to do the passes, lobs and shots is really bad for a football game
- free kicks are so hard to beat them
- it´s hard to make a shot to the beacon, and to aim too
- lobs are hard to make them too
well, but as i said before, this game will suffer many and many updates, i hope.
And simon, please try working on the online multiplayer mode for the nss5... it will bem important for the sucess of the game
and i believe the online on NSS3 will be great too, cuz, if netsoccer2 have many and many players, NSS3 could have many more than it, cuz it´s much better than NS2, TRUST ME

Had the half time bug again, where it kicks off when all your players are still in the wrong half.
simon, would it be possible for you to make playersprites editable? id like to delete the outline
I found a good setting for friction, the ball slows down more reallistically now.
Slightly increased friction: fricGrass=0.98 needs to be offset by a slightly stronger pass: kickpow_pass=0.075. I tested this, and it works great for me. A small improvement, but I believe it should find way into the final version
Sprite modding will be included in a later version.
Thought I'd fixed that half time bug. Will have to hunt it down. If you can get a replay, please save it.
I'll also check out the friction changes.
I should add that I disliked the default settings in cases when the ball was deflected or missed and players were chasing it. It didn't seem to slow down and always rolled all the way over the line for a throw-in or a corner.

Bug in 1.02 demo - when the keeper dives sideways to deflect a shot and the ball goes out, a goal kick is given instead of a corner.
