Exception_access_violation error!

Hello! I have bought a New Star GP game. When i try to push any button in the main menu game shows me an error message "EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION". And then close the game window. How can i repair it?

Try this...

1) Open the file C:\Program Files\New Star GP\Settings\Engine.ini

2) Where it says SaveLoc=0 change it to something like SaveLoc=C:\New Star GP\

Hi! I'm having the same error at the qualifying to the 8th race. (I'm using Dan'on Hill 2010 mod, so it is Canada)

I tried to change my save location to C:/New Star GP, but I still get the crash and same error message.
I have Windows Vista, AMD Phenom X4 CPU, Nvidia 250 GTS and 4Gt of RAM, so it shouldn't be because of my computer I guess.

EDIT: Solved, changing to windowed mode from fullscreen helps. Framerate is now horrible (especially when raining), but no errors.

EDIT: Okay, not fixed. New season's first qualifying gives error and crashes.

Might be a mod issue. Do you get any problems with the default version?

I'm not totally sure.

I haven't been playing for 8 months (never had this problem before), until last week. Last week I installed a mod straightaway and encountered this problem few hours after. I tried every possible way to fix this, and after that tried to run the game without any mods - and had a crash. I'm not sure if I caused modless game to crash or did it crash by itself.

Anyway, now it seems to work fine, as long as I play on windowed. Weird.

I'll try to test again without any mods soon.

When you got crashes is always a MOD problem. Modder has to fix it. I got some crashes too making my mods. Sometimes it depends to folders or wrong file names. Missing tracks, missing graphic. Make sure you have all installed correctly, then if still crashing try to reinstall NSGP.

Hey its been a while since ive been playing.

Got the same error and did the same solution.
It works but now I cant select a mod?
Its the danon 2011 mod.
when I change saveloc to 0 again I can select the mod but getting the error again.
