I cant access the Training screens

Im a 16 year old forward playing for Brentford, but everytime I go to the training screen and select any of the training options it simply says "Ability Increased" rather than taking me to the training session to complete the tasks.

Is this a bug?

No, dude. Go to options and check the Action Training check box.

Action Training enables the minigames (or training matches). Having it disabled skips the minigames and makes the computer calculate it based on your potential and stuff like that.

Having it disabled helps a lot when you're having trouble getting past certain stage (like when shooting gets so complicated that you can't even do 0.5), or when during matches it becomes almost impossible for you to naturally raise the stats (such as control or vision or positioning, which become REALLY hard to improve after 95 points).

Other than that, and save a few exceptions, arcade is the way to go.
