First off, kudos to RobbyD for letting me use his original idea

This mod is in development and a forum mod wouldn't be a forum mod if you didn't contribute What I need from you is a ship sprite. There will be several new track objects. Each team will have 2 cars, and those cars will be identical. There will be 6 teams, ONE per member, however this may be subject to changes. This mod will probably feature 24 tracks (as always, your contributions are always welcome ) and each member who submits a track will have a mention on the track (e.g. in a track i design, i'll put a track object above it saying "Designed by Cookie Monster"). These 24 tracks will be raceable (?) freely or in a series of 4 tourneaments. When you submit your ship sprite, please submit a team name as well as six letters (these can be initials or the like) that will be used to identify the cars. If you're in a story writing mood, you can too submit your own story Also I will need stats for your cars, and the combined total of the stats must be at most 16. You will have to submit an application form that goes like this:

Team Story: After having tanked severely in the lands of Formula 1, Vegostrophobica Inc. decided to move on to a similar yet very different market of space racing. Apparently, the company president Rui Andrade had a great passion for aliens and thought this was the best way to get closer to them. Little did he know that this would be a great step forward and that it'd be a good way to get out of the recession.

I dunno, now that I've got golds in all the hard tournaments, it's hard to get too worked up for SLR anymore.

Hopefully multiplayer will show up one day, and/or a beefed up tournament mode.

I guess I can try for special badges in the hard tournaments in the meantime, but that feels a little unrealistic at this point.

Yeah well Si said that if NSGP's multiplayer mode was successful, SLR would also have such an option and I do hope it comes soon so that more SLR fans come to this forum (and make submitions for this mod )

Maybe it could do with more career structure to help with longevity, but I'm still enjoying it, and usually play a little bit each day. In retrospect, £7 is a bit high - maybe £3.99 (+ multiplayer) would be the right price point for a big Steam release! A bigger userbase would be fantastic.

I've lost hours to the editor, though, so I've definitely had my money's worth. September's always busy, but I'm hoping I get some PC time to do some more tracks. And I'm in awe of Simon's game design skills - his tracks are simple and effective, and mine aren't nearly as good!

I'd also like a career mode for this Also if it'd fail getting on Steam, maybe Impulse - it's smaller but it'd be a good way to start!

I still play a little every day too. I'll pick a race mode, set it to hard, and then try to pick the worst possible car for that race mode and track. So Fedz if it's Survivor, and Neon if it's Eliminator, basically.

TEAM INFORMATION:
Team story: It was a slow morning, John had began to run out of Golden Syrup and felt sick yet alive at the same time, but still no inspiration was rushing to him. Fingers were hitting keys and knobs were being twiddled yet only dross was oozing out of his headphones, pooling in his ear. His pocket began to incessantly rumble with either phantom ego or his mobile phone had actually received some form of signal, urgently raising it to his ear for whatever enthralling adventure he would be presented with. "Hey Dave, what are you up to?", John spends no time pondering "Nothi-" "Don't care, come check this out". Before he had even time to reply, he hears a crash from outside and some form of animal whale, the signal on the phone cut short. The scene was to be expected, a large vehicle parked across the road, partly imbedded into a tree and on top of what used to be a car. "Where the hell did you get this?" John points the question at Thane, who simply explains that he just 'found it'. And thus conclude this vague drawn out story about the founding of... A name, we need a name... 'Toast Troop' Thane intervenes.

BTW, compiled four of my better tracks, with Head-to-Head being the wildest of the bunch, and Phanalie (Pronounced "Final-ee) being the hardest.
Golden Syrup, gotta get me some of that...
