Firstly, if this is frowned upon then close or delete the thread. I'm not intending to start anything here.

Purchased NSS3 and decided to see what I can do with it before I go to bed. So far, this is what I've got:

Notice the skills and bank balance in the background. That's all I've tried to do so far. If there's enough people who want to mess around in a non-serious career then I'll make a trainer to use.

You are welcome to edit your saved game file, however the same rule applies as per previous games.

We hold no responsibility if you’re saved game corrupts the game itself.

Plus if you have altered your game file, then come back to us and tells us something is wrong then its your fault we will not spend time looking at faulty game files which you, yourself have edited.

In a nutshell, you do so at your own risk

Arsenic

Well, it's not editing the actual file. It's altering the memory inside of the game itself. Much, much safer than dealing with the saved game files.

Save file editing should not be possible anymore anyway. Doing so will corrupt your game. If that happens you'll need to load the backup file by renaming the .bak file to .nss.

if you do cheat you will get this and all your lovely stats go to zero its more fun starting at the bottom anyhow, it makes that big transfer feel like you achieved something :D

Arsenic

Yes, you'll get that if you edit the file itself. However, the method that I'm using doesn't alter any of the saved game files so that error isn't something that I'm going to run across.

are you going to make a trainer of it

JJU

you lot are weird, wanting to mess about with this before even completing a career on Pro level... :-k

you know your right, get the stats up the way the game was made, it's more rewarding :D

I'd certainly be open to using a trainer

Why you need a trainer?
I'm now 20 years old in the game, I got shooting, flair, controll, both feets, pace, strength, stamina, psitioning and vision on highest. Dribbling I got on 28, passing around 25 I think and tackling and heading around 20. the only low one I got is Set Pieces, but I train that one up right now since it seems to be very easy.

Nando

I don't like cheating, it takes the fun out of the game. :(

Arsenic
10-23-2005, 12:26 AM
There's not going to be a trainer. At least not one from me. It wouldn't be fair to siread or the replay contest that I've seen mentioned around a couple of places.

Seem that if u do that your save file seems to corrupted. Maybe a smart move by Siread. ;)

* please don't closed this topic cause it's just a message to anyone who wants to change their statistic manually

I tried out, to prove your theory, and no, I don't think so. At least whitout damaging your save game.

Fabrizio Gatti

It depend on what you change, I believe you can tweak your savefile, but:

1- It takes the fun of improving and training away, why making an effort to be top class if you have tweaked the stats?

2- If you do something wrong, even if it is very small, it is the olikeliest that you'll get your savefile screwed, and you won't get any support, as you did what you shouldn't had done

;)

Well, I once edited a game and it came out fine but then, a career after... It died... I must have made some mistake that killed the game.

Also, there was one where I was able to do that but I got tired of playing it and deleted the save... Maybe it would happen what happend to the other file.

i know how to cheat, you can really make your player world class, done it in one career but was to easy, then done another career but only done up the yellow, green & blue stats & trained the red stats. i used a program that i have been using for years ever since 1997 so will be willing to share if anyone here is interested

Yeah, go ahead and defeat the whole object of the game. Just don't come crying to us when you corrupt your save games :)

coreytst597
03-15-2007, 06:33 PM
the program i use can be used on pretty much any game, it won't corrupt any save game's, its a number editor program & will not corrupt anything

JJU
03-15-2007, 08:42 PM
yeah I know, a memory editor. Hurrah for you, you are teh haXX0rx!!!11!one!!!

Seriously. I can't see the point of it for NSS games, you're only cheating yourself. But this goes into territory already covered in discussions before...

Are you talking about ch*at-*-m*tic? (Took two letters off to prevent people from searching on the internet, finding it and currupting their save games and after come complain here. But it can still be found but now I can't say that I forced them.) =)

Fabrizio Gatti

A number editor might screw your savegame anyway, being the .savs from NSS as they are...

yes nando thats the program, suprised that someone else has heard of it

If uyou mean ch*at-*-m*tic, this is how the program works: It alters numbers you need to make it find the number that you wish to edit then edit it...

I haven't been able to do a lot of changes in NSS3 save game file yet...

I'm not sure... it only worked for me once and it was a long time ago...

you load the game, then have the program loaded, you select the game from the drop down list on the program. once its loaded you search for the number you want to change, so if you count how many blocks there are after the shooting attribute that is the number you put in the program, once it has found it you need to train to get the level up by one, then you go back to the program and enter that number, then you do it again then the program should find it then you can change the number to what you want

Zack_21
03-17-2007, 05:12 AM
How many time till it found it?

Zack_21
03-18-2007, 12:14 AM
Got it! you have to do it three or four times. And now I will try to train by myself. (only cheat on green and yellow:P ) I'm still an honest boy!B)

If we cheated, yes. Obviously.

Fabrizio Gatti

I can't, I don't feel like cheating

Nando
03-18-2007, 05:36 PM
Cheating can be used to help people out. e.g. Let's say a memebr of the forums posts he can't go through the level 17 of shooting, all you have to do is to set your shooting skill to 16 and the ntrain and see what the best method is.

Fabrizio Gatti
03-18-2007, 09:03 PM
:blimey: maybe

Zack_21
03-20-2007, 11:14 AM
Cheating is just to help what you can't do. But unless you try it hard enough and didn't make out. give it a try(cheat)

Nobody's perfect!

Nando
03-20-2007, 11:17 AM
But becarefull... If you damage your savbe game file you won't get any support from here.

PS. HAs anyone tried to change their age to 1? You would be the youngest player in the game!:D

Fabrizio Gatti
03-23-2007, 02:40 PM
Nah! I almost never cheated on a game, I think the only two I can reacall are Commandos and Starcraft, but I was around 13 when I did!! :)

Maybe you should add Caesar III to the list, I just couldn't cope with the assignment that the terrain is all rugged, I mean how are you supposed to grow food in it???

Nando
03-24-2007, 04:17 PM
I really need to get a game like that one... I have a question... Is getting hints cheating?

Fabrizio Gatti
03-24-2007, 04:19 PM
I think not, getting hints is like discussing strategies isn't it??

For Caesar, I always check for the city that buys marble, open a route and place like 3 or 4 marbvle quarries, so that my city funding is safe.

Back to topic...

Nando
03-24-2007, 04:26 PM
Yep... We better get back to topic...;)

Fabrizio Gatti
03-24-2007, 04:28 PM
Which is... cheating :P

I think that it is not viable to cheat at NSS, but this thread has remembered me I cheated a couple of times when impossible missions/screens appeared, and I wanted to see the things beyond them

Nando
03-24-2007, 04:32 PM
A lot of people do that. I have done it. Some things we just have to cheat :P

Fabrizio Gatti
03-24-2007, 04:34 PM
There are some explanations:

- You can't pass the level
- It's genetics
- It's something related to the 10-15 age range
- Portuguese fellas are more likely to cheat at games :P
- It's all TV's fault!! (a very popular one nowadays)

04-04-2007, 04:40 PM
Everything should be as simple as it is, but not simpler.

Heh

But seriously, you searched for a years old thread just to find a way to cheat, someone helped and you are not satisfied because it is not simple... cheating is not supposed to be part of the game you know?

JJU
04-05-2007, 07:27 AM
Yeah, but remember, Dinamo was stupid enough to ask for a NSS3 code on the forum, so that kinda says it all...
