Another of my creations:

Circuit Park Zandvoort

Track Layout

This circuit is very popular in Holland due to its fast, sweeping corners, like Tarzanbocht and Sheivlak. The track's layout has been changed several times, and I have recreated the newest design, with 4.3 km (2.672 mi).

Screenies:

Turn 1 - Tarzanbocht_______________________________________ __________________________ Turn 10 - Audi 'S' Bocht

Contains:

-Fully working racing lines, pit lanes, and checkpoints
-Objects, walls and gravel traps

As always, feedback, suggestions, constructive critiques and track requests 100% welcome!

Please tell me what you think of it and let me know how can I improve.:D

my only criticism, as with all your tracks is the lack of specific detail. For example, I've just looked at Imola on google maps, and your track although accurate in layout, has none of the original's features; trees, buildings, gravel traps, stands etc are either missing or in the wrong place.

I surely have to agree with you there. My tracks completely lack specific detail. For two reasons: If I exaggerate on detail, some computers might not be able to run the track as smooth as desired (What a lame excuse!); And maybe that level of detail isn't needed so much, it's great to have it, but I don't think it's vital. But of course, there must be at least the basics. Eg: In my Imola track, I should've used less stands, since it's a track surrounded by farms and rural enviroments!

And congrats on your 100+ posts!!

Well buddy, that's why we're a team; you work on the layouts, I'll put the detail in! (To that end, how is the Monaco Project coming on?)

As it happens, I started on Imola last night, ironing out a few creases and really adding detail to it. At the moment i've just finished the river, the trees on the first corner and the farmhouses down the back straight. The completed version will be in NSGP F1.

Going well! I've done the walls and checkpoints among some other minor stuff. See what you think of it.

Tested the racing lines, pit lanes, checkpoints and everything seems to be in order. Now there's only objects left.

Good stuff, especially the racing line; I got taken by suprise a couple of times by cpu cars flying through the narrowest of gaps...

Check your PM's, tell me what you think!

Thats awesome Paranhos. how long does it take you to complete 1 track?

Paranhos

Depending on the track, from 2 to 3 hours, since I don't put much detail on it. But if I apply the kind of detail robbyd does, I'd take 8 to 10 hours! For you to have an idea, he searches the track on Google Maps, and builds a replic of the real thing. Look at all his tracks and his mod and you'll be amazed.

Another question Paranhos

can you run these tracks in the Championship or only in quick race?

and where do i put these tracks so i can play on them?

cheers

Yes, I'll be working on that. Good tip!:D

And yes, you can put the tracks you created on both quick race and in career mode.

To quickrace them, you must move them to My Documents\New Star Grand Prix\Tracks, and you'll be able to play with them in Quick Race mode.

I'm not sure how you can play with your tracks on career mode, but I guess you should move them to either in a mod location, at My Documents\New Star Grand Prix\Mods\MODNAME\Media\Tracks or at the Program Files\New Star GP\Media\Tracks, which is not recommendable, and make sure, in both cases, to rename your track to Track_X, X being the round you want the track to replace the original race.

Eg.: To replace Australia, rename your track to Track_1.trk.
Eg2.: To replace Bahrein, rename your track to Track_4.trk.

If you have any doubts, don't hesitate in asking me.:)

p.s. i never really use my documents, i found a lot of other stuff in there that i forget about to. lol

No more questions at this moment.
