NSGP F1 - Forum Fan-tasy Mod

- 10 brand new teams, with cars spanning a 40+ year history of F1.

NSGP Mod

I had a bit of a brain-wave last night, how about we create a NSGP Forum mod!

Each member is allowed to submit 2 cars for their fantasy team, either designing their own cars or I will design them on their criteria, I put them into the mod, and when we have 10 teams, I release it with bonus tracks and material!

I'll set out the details below:

- You may submit 1 team consisting of 2 cars only. This must be a fantasy team, no Ferrari's or Brawns, although styling yourself on a team is acceptable, carbon copies are not.

- Both drivers must NOT be currently competing in F1, they may be past drivers, fantasy drivers, yourself, or drivers from other disciplines.

- Both cars must be identical in livery, although the drivers helmets may differ if you wish. If you wish to design your own car, it must be up to a decent standard; this is to keep the standard of the mod up. This covers things like shading, alpha channels, and correct proportions. Your car must be an F1 car, although the era is up to you. If you want an idea of the style of car art the mod will use, take a look at Bazik's 2009 mod; you may also use these as a base for current F1 car shapes.

- The stats will be capped at a total of 12 stars, these can be distributed as you wish between the three catagories.

Please fill in the application for below, all details are relevent for things like stats, driver details, pit lane hoardings, menu details etc.

The Russian Federal Space Agency has shocked the world of motorsport by developing a car for the NSGP Forum Fantasy Championship! Head of the RFSA Anatoly Perminov is said to have been a lifelong F1 fan and upon hearing of the fantasy championship he promptly set up a development team with one mission, to create a championship winning car based on secret technology from the original Sputnik space program. Not content with just using space craft technology for the car, Perminov insisted that the drivers should be cosmonauts - and not just any cosmonauts. Only two of the bravest of people ever to have lived are to be trusted in the Russian car and Perminov has ordered that Yuri Gagarin (first man in space) and Valentina Tereshkova (first woman in space) are to be the drivers! Of course, Gagarin died in a plane crash 1968 so will need to be cloned specifically for this mission. Tereshkova on the other hand is alive and well and despite being 78 years old she is determined to bring victory to the nation or die trying.

If that is the case then I will make it fit in with the style the mod is using for modern F1 cars, if not and it is indeed intended to be a historic F1 car, then thats fine, I just need to add the front wheels."

Consider changing the team name from "Paranhos F1" to "Paranhos GP" / "Paranhos (insert engine manufacturor here)" or even just "Paranhos"? We have rather a lot "Suchandsuch F1"'s at the moment...

The team will source its engines from the TOYOTA corp.. These engines are low cost and fuel efficient:) KERS will not be implemented at this stage due to our budget.

Find attached the Monaco Project .trk File.

I've laid out most of the track, what I would like you to do is work on the scenery. (You'll need track packs 1 and 2 installed). Load up the google map of Monaco, switch to real view and start placing some buildings. Of course it's not crucial that it be 100% accurate, but it should be of a high finished standard; check the area round the hairpin for an idea of the kind of standard i'm going for.
If you do the bit along the home straight, then send it back that would be brilliant. (I bet you wish you'd never asked now :P)

I can certainly try giving you a car in the style of a BRM, my Lotus Team does push the boundries of the rules ever so slightly :rolleyes: so I'm willing to let this one pass as long as your team name is original and the car isn't a complete carbon copy...

After many years of supplying engines for the Formula Super Series, Equitechs have decided to propose an entry into the NSGP, their history of building cheap yet very convenient and reliable engines has given them a worldwide reputation with the company supplying all engines to the Englandian Touring Car. Quite an achievement for a company that was born in a small warehouse in the countryside of Englandia.

Erm, sorry mate but you might want to reconsider your entry once you have read the rules on the first page, and the entrants throughout the page.

I don't mean to be a pain, or a kill-joy but...

1) Lotus and Ferrari are both real teams; if it was something like "Floweb Ferrari", no problem.

2) We're using Bazik's pixelart style for the mod, your car as good as it is, would look out of place.

3) Your stats exceed to limit of 12

4) The team principle is you!

5) My car for Davies Lotus look pretty much identical to yours...

hmmm, good idea! I've just spent a bit of time away from it today; just to avoid getting too annoyed by constant crashes and problems. Been doing a few laps of the Nurburgring in GPL instead, i'm gonna post my video tour on the site sometime later today; I'm pretty crap at it, but it's nice for a break.
