Some general questions on editing

Hey friends of lost evenings trying to score (I mean goals)
For starters, sorry for misspellings and strange grammar, me being no native speaker and all.
After some searching and time spend on this forum (and on Azazels site) I have come accross some questions concerning the NSS4 Editor.
I do understand that it is neither an officially supported part of the game nor that this forum is supposed to be the discussion ground for soccer stuff that is legally owned by other companies.
I nevertheless hope that some off you guys, having worked with it for some time, might be able to answer my questions.
Having that said, here we go:

1. In the game I have played it seemed like there is a problem with Playoff rounds not working properly, at least in the non english theaters. I tried to solve that problem by changing the pro/demotions to a direct way and leaving the playoff stuff out completely. But I do not seem to be able to make that work. Changing the "promoted to" part in the competions concerned to anything else than what is currently set always makes it change to championship, the 2nd english league. No matter what i set the moment i click apply championship takes its place. Am I just plain stupid, do I do something wrong or is this a problem with the editor itself?

2. Having an older machine that doesn´t do well with all to big datapools but wanting to include at least the top leagues in europe gives me a headache. I have no problem with not being able to play in the lower leagues in italy, england etc (meaning that 3 leagues deep would totally comfort me). But I am afraid that just deleting the lower leagues and disabling demotion from the now lowest ones will make a problem with the cups in those lands. I had hoped that teams not belonging to a league anymore would be transferred to the non-league part, but it seems like that doesn´t happen. So, do I have to do that manually? And is there a better/faster way than having to change that in every team in the leagues I want to remove?

3. Last question: After having done the stuff above (which I will start exactly after someone has told me how to ;)), is there a way to promote random teams from the non league portfolio to the now lowest leagues? I mean, to let the demotions in the leagues go on normally and have the teams demoted be replaced by random teams chosen from the NON-league teams?

Well I guess thats all for now, I hope some of you will be able to help me get that stuff sorted out ;)

The editor is a little tempramental when changing competitions. The best way to change this field is to first make a note of the competition ID you want to change it to. Then remove the promotion place by deleting both the promotion code. And then create a new line with the ID you made a note of at the start. Either than or just scroll to the competition you want to change it to in the first place: :lol:

Yes, you'd have to manually move any teams from divisions you wanted to remove and then also make sure the cup competitions would still work. I can tell you for starters now many wouldn't because of the point at which teams from different divisons enter the cups.

Nope, there is currently no way to do this as the Non-League 'competitions' aren't actually competitions but just pools to make up numbers in cups.

Sorry it doesn't look to good for your plans, though you could get away with reducing leagues but you'd have to lose domestic cups and by extension, continental competitons too.

Mhh guess I´ll just have to live with the loading times than. It´s not like it takes an hour, I just thought I might improve them without losing anything of importance for me. No Problem at all, I´ll just change the Promotions to direct and start a new career. The last one was more of a first impression kind anyways.
