I have read on the forums that there is a creating mods.txt file hidden somewhere in the nsgp main game folder. However my attempts at locating it have proved fruitless (Probably because it might be in a different place on the mac) but I wondered whether it would be possible for somebody to post the contents of the file on this thread for everyone to look at as a brief point of reference. Just an idea.

To create a mod for New Star Grand Prix, please follow these instructions...

- Create a new folder in My Documents/New Star Grand Prix/Mods/.
Give the folder a name that you wish to use for your mod.

- Copy the folder My Documents/New Star Grand Prix/Database into YourModFolder.
- Copy the folder C:/Program Files/New Star Grand Prix/Settings into YourModFolder.
- Create a new folder in YourModFolder and name it Media.
- Copy the folder C:/Program Files/New Star Grand Prix/Media/Cars into YourModFolder/Media.
- Copy the folder C:/Program Files/New Star Grand Prix/Media/Teams into YourModFolder/Media.
- Copy the folder C:/Program Files/New Star Grand Prix/Media/Tracks into YourModFolder/Media.

You should now have the following folders...

> My Documents/New Star Grand Prix/Mods/YourModFolder/Database
> My Documents/New Star Grand Prix/Mods/YourModFolder/Media/Cars

> My Documents/New Star Grand Prix/Mods/YourModFolder/Media/Teams
> My Documents/New Star Grand Prix/Mods/YourModFolder/Media/Tracks
> My Documents/New Star Grand Prix/Mods/YourModFolder/Settings

- Use SQLiteBrowser to edit the NSGP.db and rename teams and drivers.
Do not rename the database file.

- Use a paint program to edit the car images in Media/Cars.
You can edit the stats of the sports cars in Cars.ini
You can edit the colours used for the collision debris in Colours.ini

- Use a paint program to edit team logos in Media/Teams

- Use a paint program to edit the track images in Media/Tracks
If you want to use modified tracks, place the trk files in Media/Tracks and name them Track_1.trk through to Track_17.trk.

- You can edit Settings.ini if you wish using NotePad.

Notes
-----
-Leaderboards will be disabled if you use a mod.
-Mods will always have 10 teams with 2 drivers per team.
-At the moment it is only possible to have 17 races a season, no more, no less.
-If you redesign the cars and don't want turning wheels delete the Wheel.png image from the Cars folder in your mod.
