In this topic you can give eachother the secrets on how to be the best

I'll start with asking if anybody has any advice on how not to get Damage all the time, specially on first 2 corners. Although you can take damage off thats cheating i feel so would like it if anybody could help. The first corner i tend to hit everybody trying to get up the field, and even when its just me
1v1s with a car, its as tho the track isent wide enough

Just like to say, the slip stream is a great thing that SI's added so thanks for that SI

My usual tactic is to try your hardest to get pole, then use all your KERS in the first couple of corners to fend off anyone who starts faster than you. Then, since I usually fill up my tank with fuel, I'm fending off drivers who've only got half a tank of fuel in for the rest of the lap!

It is much more difficult when starting midpack though. Just take it very easy on the throttle, try and stay out of trouble, and try not to be bullied off the road.

I haven't played much as I've only used demo so far, but in my experience, using one of the lesser performing cars (form india for example) is one part of the problem. I find I'm so much slower in some cases that I'm constantly getting hit going around. This is partly because I'm a noob, no doubt, but it contributes. Basically you need to accept that sometimes you just can't up to first place and try and drive a little safer.

The alternative strategy is, if you're in a race of 10 or more laps and you need to make a ptistop at some point, is to go with light fuel, go aggressive at the start (you'll have a speed advantage on ones who are filled to the brim). Then, if your car gets damaged pretty badly early on, if you have to pit early, it won't matter so much as you were planning to do so anyway.
