NOTES

2008
McEveley got his first youth contract at the age of 16, when he was picked up by St. Catharines Wolves, ranked 6th in the Canadian Soccer League. He was shortly offered a professional contract, and proved to be a good asset as the Wolves finished the league in the 5th place, McEveley being the league top-scorer with his 17 goals in 25 games.

2009
McEveley's success had not gone unnoticed - and neither had his promising skills and huge size, as the Portland Timbers contracted him to play in the USL First Division. However, just before the start of the season 2009, McEveley was accused of knowing a team-mate taking performance drugs, resulting in a scandal and McEveley requesting to be transfer-listed. While being transfer-listed and having constant clashes with the Portland head coach, McEveley still played for the Timbers for a short period of time, scoring 6 goals in only 5 games and 4 Man of the Match awards.

In the beginning of June 2009, McEveley was transferred to Terrassa, which had just finished 14th in the Spanish Segunda División B. According to the website of the Catalan team, McEveley had received a higher offer from Carolina, also of the USL First Division like Portland, but preferred a change and was attracted of the Catalan culture and looked now forward to becoming a profile player for the rebuilt Terrassa. Now McEveley quickly faced another training camp before the beginning of the Spanish leagues, and had another chance to build up his play and fitness.

NOTES

2009 (continued from the last update)
McEveley's season in Terrassa started in a flashy manner when he scored his first career hat-trick in his fourth game, helping the team to a 3-0 win over Lleida. Before the mid-season, he had already got his first sponsorship contracts and become the favourite of the local fans. Terrassa showed some good improvement throughout the year, beating their last year's position and finishing 5th in the league. McEveley was the league top goal scorer with his overwhelming 58 goals in 38 games, with the team-mate Trevor Benjamin being the assist leader.

2010
During the summer break in June 2010, McEveley was sold to Grimsby Town of the English League Two. McEveley personally stated that he was extremely sad to leave the Catalan club, but agreed to do his best to help new club, Grimsby, which had just finished 7th in the league. McEveley trained hard during the summer, and amazed the Grimsby supporters and team mates scoring three goals and assisting other two in his debut game.

Good job. I also see you played on my hometown Portland Timbers who, by the way, are on a 22 game unbeaten streak!!
I like the way that it is written from a 3rd person's perspective. It makes it unique in ways.
