Siread can you please explain to us, what factors affect fuel consumption?

its frustrating to lose a race because you ran out of fuel on the last lap, on the final straight! This just happened to me, i was in the end of my 7th lap and i pitted, so laps 8, 9, 10 ahead. 3 laps only. So i made a visual calculation, of the amount of fuel (size on the screen) i needed to make 7 laps, divided by 2 for roughly 3.5 laps, and put some extra just in case... still that didn't work. So what exactly makes fuel consumption vary?

Tire Wear?
Weather?
Damage?
Amount of acceleration?

Help me out here, i think its the 3rd or 4th time this happens to me.

There is no real mystery. This happens on every game loop...

Fuel = Fuel - (Speed*ConsumptionRate)

The faster you drive the more fuel you use per loop. The ConsumptionRate is in the Engine.ini.

The golden rule... Over compensate. :)

so you are using fuel even if you are coasting without your finger on the accelerator? That will alter my fuel saving technique somewhat!
