I have been playing around on the track editor and managed to come up with a rough design for the new donington grand prix circuit that will be used for next years f1 championship. I was just wondering how I could get this to replace silverstone in the championship. I have tried updating the database and saving the track as the right number and even deleting silverstone but it doesn't seem to work, infact the game even finds silverstone from somewhere and reinstates the game. Any help anyone? Perhaps I am missing something.
Plus if anyone is interested (and can tell me how) I might be able to upload the track, althougth I'm not promising miracles, I am relatively new to this. I may be able to include screenshots though.

But are you starting a new career? If you use an old save, i dont think changes are updated to old save files.

The default tracks are stored in the exe so will always be used. You can only race custom tracks in the QuickRace.
However, the next version will allow you to place new tracks in a Mod folder to replace the default tracks.

Excellent news!
I've already made a Donnington and a Kyalami, so I'm glad it'll be available to me for more than Quick Races.
Is it possible you could put in a selector for us in a new career, where we could pick "core" tracks that have to be there every year and then have the AI pick a selection of the other tracks to fill out the schedule?
That way every season would be slightly different.
