I was working on getting a better racing line for the Australian track and here's the result. The race becomes a lot more challenging in a slower car such as the Form India (which I've used in my testing). I think the problem with the default racing line used in Australia is that the AI drives the track too conservatively. With my adjustments to the racing line, the AI drives just about as well as you do.

The only problem is that this edit doesn't apply to the career mode, so you can really only test this in Quick Race. If you happen to start a new career with the edited track file in the settings folder, it'll just get overwritten with the default Australia track file for some reason. There doesn't seem to be a way to get around it at this time.

Here are a couple of comparison photos that shows the difference in difficulty just by adjusting the AI line. Your results may vary (I have the comspeed_hard set to 15000 for some unknown reason).

I think the racing line could still use some work. Maybe it's possible for the AI to get a sub-27 second lap time?

Interesting. I'll take a look. Feel free to look at the rest of the tracks. :)

It's interesting to compare the defined racing lines for Australia and Malaysia. The line in Malaysia is a lot more aggressive about hitting the apex of turns and taking a wider line into turns to ensure better entry/exit speeds. I think there's a lot that could be done here to provide a better AI and racing experience.
