Hi all, my brother has this game but is unable to run it at all.
His specs are as follows:
CPU - AMD Athlon XP 2000
RAM - 512Mb DDR
HDD - 40GB
O.S. - WinXP SP3
VGA - ATI Rage 128 Pro (32Mb AGP)
The problem is, the game comes up with the options and no matter what resolution he chooses it begins to load the New Star Games logo then crashes back to the desktop before he gets to the New Game screen.
He has the exact problem with New Star Soccer 4.
If its because of the VGA then would a nVidia Geforce FX5500 256mb or FX6200 256Mb work? I ask as these are the only AGP cards available new from our local stores.
Thanks for all the help
Mike

**UPDATE**
We purchased the FX5500 graphics card and now both games work fine.
Thanks

I can't run the game at all. When I choose career mode it crashes just after the driver setup screens. It also crashes if I try the quick race option from the startup screen.
I've tried most of the different screen resolutions from 800x600 16-bit and up, but none seem to be working. I have a dell d820 latitude laptop with the nvidia quadro nvs 120m graphics card. There haven't been any new drivers released from Dell for almost 2 years, so I presume I'm screwed:wall:
I have attached my system log and the error log from nsgp.

I have the exact same issue with 1.0.5 - Quick Race worked once, but now Career Mode and Quick Race both crash.

Try uninstalling and deleting the NSGP folder in My Documents. They install 1.08 and try again.

Sorry about the late reply Bacorales. I must have missed this one. Are you still having a problem?
If so, could you change the line saveloc=0 to saveloc=C:\NSGP\ in the Engine.ini. You can find it in: C:\Program Files\NSGP\Settings.
If that doesn't help, when exactly does the game crash?

Thanks SI, no problem about the delay, I understand...
Your tip fixed the problem, now I´m running the game perfectly!
The game crashed when I clicked the "new game" button, if it helps for other people with the same problem.
I`m running it in an Spanish Windows XP SP3... that maybe was the issue.
Thanks a lot!
