And it's for one simple reason.
First time I have ever played the game, and I'm beating everyone on Hard difficulty in a Force India.
The game is far, far too easy.
I'm not going to purchase something which I will have mastered within 30 minutes of downloading.
It's a shame, because I really enjoy NSS, and I was hoping this would be as much of a challenge.
If it becomes a challenge, then I'll gobble it up. But for now, it's not for me.

Did you use the "Quick Race" option?

Is that in Australia, Malaysia or China? Or all three?
Also, are you using v1.04?
What is your driver name? I'd like to see your times on the leaderboard.

Hi Si,
Good to see you watching your forums.
I'm using whatever it is you download from your homepage the first time you play.
Bear in mind that if I need to update my game from what is immediately downloadable to get the increased difficulty, fair enough, but 9/10 players won't bother to check the forums to discover they need to do this and will abandon the game as "too easy" before doing so.
My driver name is Ben Johnston, and I can't connect to the leaderboards (although I have only tried once). However, I'm not playing this game to beat absent players to a faster time, I am playing it to face a challenging CPU.
I appreciate that you've taken my post as constructive criticism, and I hope something positive comes of this.

Australia is pretty easy. The other races are much, much harder, so if you've only raced Australia (first race, so it seems likely) then it's too early to judge.

The download from the website is always the latest version, so if you downloaded it this weekend you are using 1.04. You can see the version on the first screen under the title.
I think it is fair to say that very few people are abandoning the game because it is too easy. It takes most players at least a few races to start challenging on the Hard level with Force India, and I sincerely doubt that you will find the Malaysian race easy with that team.
Even so, I will be looking at ways to make the game harder, maybe having difficulty levels 1-5.

Implied is the fact that you know it's possible to win easily with Force India in Australia, which must be addressed?
I'd like to see the player more heavily punished for going off the track, and also colliding with opponent cars be more heavily punished.
Perhaps the inclusion of a mode whereby heavy, careless contact with another car ends your race? It would be incredibly frustrating at first, but would encourage more realistic racing strategies as opposed to brute force?

The tracks are based on RL and 2bh ide like to see ure laptimes with Force India in Hard mode.. Because i dont believe after just starting you can go on Hard and win.. (check to see if ure on Medium) -.-

I think perhaps the fact I've played a lot of Turbosliders and Trackmania must be helping me, because I'm really only finding it challenging when the weather throws a curveball.

My experience is not too different - I've also played my fair share of TM and TurboSliders, and I'm comfortably winning most/all races. I agree the AI level needs to be addressed, but my main challenge is not the AI, but the online leaderboard. For the experts, I think this is where the real longevity is going to come from, particualrly if we can add ghost laps, ghost races and some sort of championship structure around this in-game.
Remeber, this is a v1 game, and Si has an enviable record of taking ideas from the community and patching them in. I admit I bought on potential rather than what's there right now, but I can see a lot of good possibilities here.

Si, perhaps you should have a vote-topic for the next (bigger) improvement of the game, so you're sure it appeals to the biggest audience :)

I think that the driver need some skills! so u start like a bad driver, that way u going to have problems to do a pretty race... so u will need to pratice to get a better skill to your driver and maybe be better in each track... XD
