My game will not run under "Full screen," whether selected at game boot, or selected from the Options screen. With "Full screen" selected, the game crashes to desktop.

Are you using Vista 64-bit?

Running a GeForce 9800GT 512MB video card, 4GB (3.25GB ) RAM, Intel Q6600 2.4GHz CPU.
I'm also having problems with playing the game in full screen. It crashes everytime I try to start the game in full screen.
Using Vista 32-bit and a GeForce 8400M G - 256MB.
I've updated my gfx-drivers succesfully, but I'm still not able to play in full screen.

What are your native screen resolutions?
1280 x 800
I've tried all available screen resolutions in NSGP.

Can you guys open your settings.ini in MyDoc/New Star Grand Prix/Settings and change debug=0 to debug=1.
Then run the game full screen so it crashes. Then go to c:/Program Files/New Star Grand Prix/ and check the .log file. Let me know the last few lines.
Thanks. :)
I give you the full log file in stead as there are some warning messages in the middle of the log.

It doesn't work for me in full-screen either, and setting Debug=1 doesn't give me a log file. The game plays fine in windowed mode. Resolution is 1280x1024, Nvidia 7600GT graphics card.

1280x1024, wasn't that giving some issues in NSS4 too Si? I reckon some players couldn't run the game in full screen in that resolution.

My native screen resolution is 1600×1200, which I am running.
With the latest update, I can get 800×600 full screen to work.
Log file attached.

I can get up to 1024×768 with full screen, but nothing past that.

Hi I have a similar problem. I have a Sapphire ATI 3870 512 card, AMD 64 X2 running VISTA 32bit. Can't run in 1280x1024 (native) in fullscreen, the app closes, it will run in 1024x768 fullscreen but flickers badly ever few seconds.
I also can;t run this on my laptop due to the text issue, is an intel 965 chipset, I have seen the comment re updated drivers, however, they don't install on my laptop, as not fully compatible. Toshiba, haven't released any new drivers for the laptop, so a bit screwed.
Love the game, but won't buy it until it works properly.

I still get the same issue with full screen flickering. When on the menu screen it flashes whatever screen is running in the background, ie. web browser or whatever, as you press the advance button.

Yeah all driers up to date, I posted before I have a Sapphire ATI 3870 512 card, AMD 64 X2 running VISTA 32bit. 4GB RAM. Can't run in any fullscreen resolution properly as I get an irritating flashing on the the screen. Appears to be random, but only if you are doing things like moving the mouse, doesn't flash if nothing is active. But flashes the background behind the prgoram, often the main NSGP screen, or normally the screen behind, e.g. webbrowser or windows desktop. I get it in NSS4 too. Work fine in a window, is just when fullscreen.
Wish I could run them on my laptop too but it has Intel grahics and the text is blocky and unreadable. There are no graphics driver updates for my Toshiba L350 unfortunately. The Intel generic driver is not properly compatible and stops other programs working. WIsh there was a software fix for this for the programs.
TO add, it seems to settle down during a race, from being really bad when the lights change, ans during the first lap, to no flashing at all later on in the race.

This problem seems to be fixed in v1.09. Also needs fixing for NSS4 though.
