Being playing with this for my own use, wondering if anyone else is interested.

So far it's just a team, driver and livery change, will probably at least construct and oval like circuit or too as well.

Features

All drivers from the 9 2 and 4 car teams in the Indycar Series 2008 (Penske, KV, Ganassi, Andretti Green, Conquest, NHL, Dale Coyne, Dreyer and Reinbold, Vision) - 20 total.

Correct liveries for all those drivers, including where teams have 2 different looking cars.

The problem so far is that Andretti Green are treated as two seperate teams but this only affects the constructor's champ. Also as the only performance affect is on teams, a couple of drivers are a little off. I'll refine before an actual release of course.

Looks Good. Get an oval track going and it should be great fun.

So isn't the mod finished, or why didn't you put a download link in your post?

Would really like to play this :)

I haven't looked at tracks yet, didn't realise this was important enough to be stickied ;)

There does seem to be a problem with our registration details being lost too but that's probably my incompetence.

I will, if nothing else, get the carset part of this up tonight.

Really looking forward to playing this when it's ready, especially if some good oval tracks can be made! Is it possible to have different engine sounds with different carsets? That would complete the experience.

Hopefully this can be added alongside F1--and not in place of it--in a future version of the game, so there can be different 'leagues' of racing, so to speak, and we can work our way towards F1 (if one so desires) through different categories.

I made a simple oval track but its way too easy unless you make the ends hairpin turns. With hairpins you can have a good race although its hard not to damage your car too much bumping into the others around the turns.

To have proper ovals (without hairpins) the physics would have to be changed a bit so that the car can lose grip around the corners if you have too much speed.

It is possible to make an Indianapolis style track with 4 turns, each being a very tight 90 degree corner.

I have no idea, I haven't investigated.

Right, here's the basics, delete or rename your save folder in my documents then extract this over your installed game, overwriting where it needs to.

It's so far just a livery, name and performance change.

Some of the liveries could be considerably better too, the mostly white cars aren't quite coming out right, I have some ideas but it'll have to wait a bit.

i'll try to make a track when i'm back home from school, I should be able to do St Pete without removing too much realism when transforming this track to NSGP

Above your post there's a post like this one that has an attachment... :D
