End of season bugs

At the end of the first season, absolutely nothing happened. No congratulatory message - just straight into the second season with a contract offer from another team. On checking my driver stats, it still says I've not won any championships - despite winning the first season with 170 points...

Ok, the career stat for championships is not updating. I will fix that. (If you really want to you can edit your current save file with SqliteBrowser (http://download.newstargames.com/SQLite_Database_Browser.exe) so that it shows up in the game.)

However, the last NSG News screen of the season should show you the championship result, with a winner's headline. I'll add a congratulatory pop-up message as well though.

Cheers Si, finally used that program to update my game for real names ect, how do i change the teams logo's tho?

And when changing top speed ect can you put "4.6" or does it only work in .5's??

To change logos just replace them in the Media/Teams folder.

4.6 should work just fine.

Changed the cars speeds ect put Force India to like 3.0 and 3.2, kept the big 2 with 5's, put brawn's to 4.0's and williams up abit because i think there ALOT better than what they were :P same with BMW added one of there things to like 4.5 :dance:

In my career at Force India I completed my first season and when choosing my next team I found that Force India improved to 4 for Handling, and 5 each for Top Speed and Acceleration, yet upon finishing Qualifying for Australia in Season 2, all teams skills are still the same as the previous season. So my new co-driver, Alonso, qualified second last, whilst McLaren, who went down in skill quite substantially, now sit 1 and 2 on the grid.

This left me quite annoyed, as I also had an offer from Ferrari, but as Force India had become so good, I decided to stay with them. Now it looks like I will have another season of mediocrity.

I think this may need to be looked at.

Yeah i've had the same problem with the championship not showing up.
when i tried to install sqlite an error message popped up saying it couldn't run because MSVCR71.dll wasn't found. i tried installing again like it said but it didn't work. Any idea whats going on Si?

You might need to google that dll and put it in the same folder as SQLiteBrowser.

Regarding the team/car stats, that is fixed for the next version. It was reporting the wrong stats on the contract offer screen. Teams will only gain or lose a maximum of one star per stat.

One thing I thought was odd, Si:

I won the championship in first season with Brawn. I got 110 points, and Button only got 1.

When the season ended, I got contract offers from about 7 or 8 teams inc. McLaren and Ferrari but not Brawn. They ended up with Fisichella and Vettel I think. Who replaces the world champion with Vettel?! I think you should automatically get a new contract from the same team if you do well.

I got that to work.
However, i can alter the starting database, but i can't seem to do it for my own save file. i might just be being stupid but i don't know how to do it.
