No linux again? :( i've changed from win to ubuntu and i wish i could play this game, any plans for a soon release?

NSGP is not currently available on Linux. If Si (the creator) set's up a Linux machine, surely there will be one.

For the time being, have you tried any emulators?

Try with WINE. It didn't work for NSS4, but it's worth trying.

There's definitely more chance of NSGP working with an emulator than NSS4 (no 3D) but I don't know if it will work.

I want to set a Linux machine so I'll let you know something in the next few weeks.

i've tried with linux (Arch linux with xfce desktop) and wine but failed...it searches for some dlls...next day i'll try again

Are there Mac emulators on Linux? The Mac version doesn't use any dlls.

I succeed to run the game with linux+wine.
First you have to copy all mfc*.dll and msvcp*.dll from an installation of windows (they are in /windows/system32) to the wine's system32 directory (usually it's in home/youruser/.wine/drive_c/windows/system32).

Now you can run the installer and it seems all ok.

Running the game i have he screen for resulution selection all black. Pressing the return key the games starts, but when you start a race there are all texture wrong and the ai machines seems crazy..
In debug mode i've seen that there are a lot of warning in images loading...maybe the reason is that linux is case sensitive..
Tonight i can do others try and i'll be more detailed and i'll post the log file and a screen shot.

tried with Ubuntu and Wine. I copied the dll's tripwood told and the installer went fine.

But when I launch the game, I don't even get the black screen.

I get NSGP at my bottom panel, but even when I select it, it doesn't open.

Soon, I hope. I do have a Linux machine now but I need some time to get used to it and work out how to build the game properly. :)
