View Full Version : Buzzing Noise Bug?

Have downloaded an installed New Star Grand Prix (1.02), and am getting a very harsh buzzing noise when running the program. First time I run the program, it's all ok, but the second time I run it, it buzzes in the menus/career section. It doesn't buzz during races, but returns again in the menus.

This has happened with all the demos I've tried in the last few days too. Using Windows Vista on a reasonably high end machine with a Creative X-Fi sound card.

Update: After playing around, reducing the music in the options to 0 fixes the problem. Perhaps the music file has become corrupt?

Are you hearing music at all? Try turning down the volumes in the options screen.

Yep, as I said, turning the music volume right down works a treat.

Version 1.03 seems to have fixed the problem!

I know it's solved but are your sound drivers updated?

Probably not, I haven't consciously updated my sound card drivers for months.

You should probably do that, even though the game is back to normal, it is best to prevent it happening again.
