Why is Sensational Soccer free?

Excuse me but I don't get it. SS is better then NSS3 by quite a bit. And you make SS free? It doesn't make sense as more people would buy SS more then NSS3. I know loads of people wishing they bought SS instead of NSS3 so. Yeah thats my question. WHY!

SS does not sell as good as NSS3 because you can get a better game if you buy something like PES or FIFA as the gameplay is pretty simular. NSS3 is unique, meaning that you can't get a simular version anywhere.

Yeah, pretty much what Nando said. In either case, both SS and NSS3 are 'obsolete' in comparison to the NSS4 match engine. The hope is that making SS free will increase our exposure and lead to better things for NSS4 (and NSG in general) in the long run.

There are some games VERY simliar to NSS that you could buy PES (Be a Legend) Is a bit like it and FIFAs (Be a Pro).

(P.S.:I prefer the NSS3 engine as I'm used to it but the NSS4 engine is good too)

Hmm... Be a Pro and Be a Legend are both relatively recent and though I've played neither, I can't imagine they have anywhere near the same off-field depth as NSS3 or NSS4. That's what keeps NSS unique in my eyes.

Oh, and don't prefer something just because you're used to it, embrace the future :P

You can play as one player and you earn a pay check, that is basically what links PES/FIFA to NSS.

NSS has many more features.

Guess your right. Be a Pro and Be a Legend are a bit better in gameplay but the off pitch things in NSS makes it different.
