I actually brought it on Friday, and although it all seems a little smoother and slicker than 05, I'm still peeved that pace doesn't seem to be reflected properly.

ie, Friendly as Arsenal against Torquay, Henry couldn't outpace any of their defenders... right!! :^o

Yes, most people in this forum don't like FIFA too much.

But I think it's the best football simulator (Winning Eleven is amazingly good, but is more an arcade type game).

winning eleven is the japanese version
they changed the name for some countries manly europe i think

fifa is very popular in the uk too and so is pes but in my opinion i prefere pes because of the game play which i think is a lot better on pes then fifa

fifa maybe more realistic but that doesnt mean its better its a matter of opinion

Tiago
10-02-2005, 08:39 PM
Yes, here in Brazil it's called Winning Eleven.

Of course being more realistic doesn't mean it is better, neither worse. And yes, I prefer Winning Eleven (ops, means Pro Evo), but that doesn't mean that I dislike FIFA. :D

and it seems FIFA have managed to mess up Chesters kit yet again! however, i dont think i personally will buy it this season, as it seems to be very little different to last seasons version... unless of course some kind person from my family buys it for me for my birthday on friday

By the way, I hope they take Tevez for serious this time, since in the 2004 (the one I actually play) he was just another bad player in the market.

PES is very good game but in name of players have too much bugs.Like Keznan (and his name is Kezman) or Jevric (Jeric),who is goalkeeper of Serbia & Montenegro. So thats why I like more fifa.
I'v heard for game called Champions League it's very simmilar with PES.I didn't played so I don't know how much is good.

Oooo, thats why names isn't real... But isn't better to skip that countries who didn't gave rights and not to enter fake names?

Chester Guy

They dont have the names for most countries on PES (certainly didnt on PES3 anyway...) with the odd exception of a particular team such as juventus who they have the rights to...

Lake District against West Midlands anyone?

Definitely not, in my book. After all, the players are real (you can easily tell who many of them are, and they're modelled on the real life counterpart), just the names are wrong. I'd hate to play a game where I can't be the Republic of Ireland just because they didn't get the license to use the name. I'm happy if I get to score goals with Guff and Keen.

And of course, you just use the editor to make the changes.

No, I was referring to how you said it might be better to skip a country instead of having the wrong names for a player.

Considering it's a ten minute fix for us, it seems a silly thing.

somebody said WE was more of an arcade game than FIFA but i'd have to disagree on that one. Mind you my last Fifa game was 2004, but it was full of easy to pull off fancy skills, the ball stuck to feet and once you went 2-0 up the other team went into all out attack leaving them very vulnerable at the back. Even if you lost the first leg 2-0 and they were actually not losing overall.

Of course the big problem was the names - but i managed to get ehe Wolf Patch and that had the majority of the player names, the stadium names, it even fixed the crowd chants. After that it made it a lil more fun to play, and the Master League option was always fun to play. Getting that unknown 18 year old for cheap and improving him til he was a star.

I like both of them, in Finland both are very popular, and in pes our country has all players real :P and of course in fifa too. I tried fifa already, and I'm thinking to buy pes5...but if you ask my opinion I'd like to spend my money on pes series

Yeah you said it, if I had tight match 0-0 etc then I got a freekick in good position, it was always my winning score... scouts are quite a good thing in 06

:D for real?? how many goals he did? In TIF 2005 is finnish commentary but I don't have it 'cause it is quite unknown but is competiting still with pes and fifa in Finland, with no results to me

Well, after playing PES5 for 30 mins before bed last night, I think I'll be sticking my FIFA06 in the free-ads, as I don't think I have any need for it now. The only drawback is that me being me, will have to do a lot of messing about to get the team names right...

Vladinho
11-02-2005, 09:28 AM
Who have career in FIFA and with what team?

makelw
11-02-2005, 02:40 PM

when I start a career, the team what is my favourite when starting a career, is Shrewsbury in English 2nd division, and then randomly pick another, Lecce, Heerenveen, Atl. Madrid etc...
