Save game help

I am not able to save my game as the the save game button is shaded out.

I started the game when it was unregistered and thought that was why I couldn't save the game. However when entered my key the save game button is still shaded???

Is this a bug, or do I need to start a new game or just something I am doing wrong???

The game saves automatically. You just need to exit and it will be fine.

The save button is if you want to back up your save. Put in a new save name and a new save file can be created. The old one will stay in your save folder so you can go back to it if you want to.
