Just found a game that is very similar to nss except it is played online. You can play in matches of up to 10 v 10 and like nss you only control the one player with the goalkeepers being control by themselves. Here is the website where you can download it http://www.netsoccer.biz/

Its quite hard to get into at first because you have to use your mouse to control your player but once you get over that its great.

Controls:
a= Slide Tackle
Right mouse button= Quick long pass/shot
Left mouse button= Pass/Shot where you can control power of ball.

I can't seem to get it running. Whenever i create a server it says "Please wait..." and hangs. I have opened the ports suggested. Any ideas? Maybe someone else can set up a server and we'll all join in. Looks very interesting though.

Yeah I was thinking that when I started playing, the stadium and fans look incredibly familiar to the ones in nss. Not sure about creating a server cause I tried it and it just didnt work for me so Im not sure but we should defineately start a team if enough people start playing

I got it working. It just needed to update itself.

I was quite impressed. Ok, so mouse control sucks, there are no freekicks and everyone (except a chap called Edu_) chased the ball like headless chickens, but it's very interesting to see something like this working quite nicely. I can imagine a vast online database of human players all competing for a virtual 'Player of the Year' award. :D

Hi there. Game is programmed with Delphi.
There are still lots of unfinished things to do.
ie. freekicks and "scouting" better keeper :)

Mouse control can be tricky for beginning, but when you get in to it, its nice.
I think, you should consider adding it optional for NSS4 ;)

One of my favourites games was Player Manager 2 and later NSS3 which is faboulous.
Thats for idea this game.

edit. And by the way, I'm very impressed to got feedback from creator of NSS3 :)

I'm currently exploring the possibilities. I'm also considering a 3D match engine but nothing is set in stone yet as it's very early days. It's just research at the moment. :)

I have it. Plays very nicely but there are far too many annoyances, not least the atrocious team data. John Terry at right back for England. Kieron Dyer in the squad. :doh:

What i dislike about the gameplay is that you don't control your players all the time without the ball, sometimes they run straight to the ball no matter what you press on your joypad, and you can't change player manually! :wall:

It would also be nice if it were possible to dribble around defenders with skill too, but I guess Sensible Soccer was never about dribbling, always passing and hitting 30 yard shots.

Quite good, but should be better. :)

I also got a copy of SS06, agree with you about the annoyances, and wish it was a little more flexible in its control systems....

The custom team thing is quite fun though, although it takes forever to get your team up to a good standard. I want to support it though, if they port the SWOS management system or something similar and add online/LAN play with decent multiplayer support, then SS07 could be better. I think the "we must have this out before the World Cup" pressure made them rush it out the door, but I still find this more fun to play than PES or FIFA....

Dugout-Online is a football management game where you take charge of a small and unknown club. Your goal is to bring that club to the top and win the World champions cup! It won't be easy though, and you'll have to use your management, trading and tactical skills to the best of your ability if you want to stand a chance amongst thousands of other managers from all over the world. The game is actually never-ending, so all the data is passed from the season to the season. If, for example, you win a title in some lower division, your club gets promoted to a higher one, if you win a cup then you'll be defending the title next season and so on.

It's a nice game, shame you don't get the comments from Roberto any more. Always felt it was a bit overrated though, best free kick game I've played was an official UEFA one that was out on their website to tie in with last season's Champions League. It involved you trying to score free kicks from the same position as some of the great free kicks from the CL's history, and you got graded depending on how many tries you made before you were successful. Think there was a prize or some such. Anyway, it was the best free kick game I've played, it allowed you much more control over how you kicked the ball. It also allowed you to create your own free kick scenarios. Shame they don't seem to have it any more, it was a fun game.

Armor games are generally good, although I did survive the full 20 nights somewhat easily :D Love the Hunting rifle.

Good game, I was gonna give up after like 5 matches without hitting anything but then I started get the timing right and now at least Im hitting the ball. Best so far is 19000ish

Log into Upshift with your GPotato account, and click Pro Server(none of the others work) - you'll have to make a Driver Name. :)

I'm getting pretty good. I did a race with a level 11, 15, 16, 7 and 8, and I won(I'm level 3 - it's not fast to level up..haven't seen anyone more than 16)

I've been winning quite a few now. It's so addicting! Blowing everyone up! And I commonly have the most takedowns at the end of the race(cuz I just love shootin')

Pandemic II (http://www.bubblebox.com/play/adventure/1086.htm), virus building game where so far I've not called my virus Swine Flu or H1N1, like 90% of the other people playing this game.

MorningStar (http://www.bubblebox.com/play/adventure/1362.htm), impressive 'Haloishesque looking' point and click adventure with decent cutscenes and voiceovers throughout.

Oh, and Magic Pen 2 (http://www.bubblebox.com/play/puzzle/1285.htm) of course, though it wasn't as good as the first one.

:lol: Greenland isn't usually a problem but Madagascar... another story. The one time I did kill the whole world I only just infected there. The key, high level 2 heat and moisture resistance, rodent transmission and no symptoms. And a lot of patience.

Even then, it said they'd closed their ports just as a boat approached but it still docked and infected, even after the 'anchor' was greyed out :D

Parasite is the least noticeable, but also the slowest to evolve. I think I used it when I killed the world, which would explain why it took me 555 days :lol: (100% infected and no dead at 155 days, 1st death at 285 days) I did play about with the symptoms though, if only to let my imagination run wild with the thought of blind, fatigued crazy people dying all over the place due to fever :confused:

I give up, I tried every single thing you mentioned yet I could only kill everybody but the people @ Madagascar. That includes Greenland but that only happened because my parasite started infecting there. Does the game mode matter though? (you know, the Relaxed thing)

Dunno, I played on the realistic one. Did you remove every symptom? Build up the resistances first then make the rodent transmission the last thing you add.
